About the role
As a CIO Advisor, Partner Consulting, you will make an impact by helping Fortune 200 clients thrive in the digital era—establishing strategic direction and building the capabilities needed for successful transformation. You will be a valued member of the CIO Advisory team and collaborate closely with Technology Consulting and client stakeholders to drive meaningful outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Lead strategic consulting engagements across Digital Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Data Strategy, Platform Modernization, Product Management, Automation, and Service Management.
- Guide clients through IT sourcing strategies, demand management, procurement transformation, and digital program execution.
- Drive large-scale, cross-functional global programs focused on technology modernization and business value realization.
- Assess IT organizations and define future-ready operating models, governance frameworks, workforce strategies, and process improvements.
- Provide architecture leadership, develop application blueprints, and define future-state roadmaps.
- Execute IT Strategy engagements using agile methodologies, identifying trends and enabling competitive advantage.
- Build business cases and financial models to support technology investments.
- Conduct Application Portfolio Rationalization and IT Cost Optimization assessments.
- Support solution proposal development and contribute to business development efforts.
- Create practice capability decks and thought leadership assets in Technology Modernization.
- Mentor and upskill team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Work Model:
This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in a Cognizant or client office in the US. We support flexibility and work-life balance through our wellbeing programs.
What you must have to be considered:
- 20+ years in Information Technology, with 15+ years in consulting or advisory roles.
- Deep expertise in at least 3 of the following: IT Strategy, Data Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Platform Modernization, Cloud, Agile Delivery, Application Rationalization.
- Industry domain knowledge in Energy & Utilities.
- Familiarity with Design Thinking, Agile, DevOps, RPA, and enterprise solutions.
- Proven experience in cloud migration, service management, and IT business process re-engineering.
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong proposal development and client engagement skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA preferred.

Salary and Other Compensation:
- Annual salary: $162,000 - $257,000, based on experience.
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards.
