Skill: Informatica ILM
Experience: 4-12 Years
• Archiving & Retirement: Design and implement data archiving strategies for structured and unstructured data, particularly application retirement projects to move legacy data to Informatica Data Vault (IDV).
• ILM Implementation: Configure Informatica ILM Data Archive, Enterprise Data Manager (EDM), and Data Vault.
• Data Masking/TDM: Implement Test Data Management (TDM) and Data Masking options to secure sensitive data in non-production environments.
• Policy Management: Define and manage data retention policies, legal holds, and data destruction policies in alignment with business and compliance requirements.
• Reporting: Create reports for auditing and data analysis using tools like ILM Workbench, IDV SQL Worksheet, or reporting tools like Tableau/Power BI.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize archival jobs and Informatica workflows for better performance and reduced storage costs.
• Technical Documentation: Create documentation for development, QA, and production environments.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in data management, with at least 3+ years specifically in Informatica ILM.
- Technical Expertise:
- Informatica Data Archive/ILM (Data Vault/FAS).
- Informatica TDM (Test Data Management).
- Informatica PowerCenter (ETL).
- SQL and Database Management (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
- Unix/Shell Scripting.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of data retention, data archiving strategies, and data security.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and business units.
