About the Role
As an MES Developer, you will design, develop, and support MES functionalities to enable efficient and reliable manufacturing operations. This role involves MES module development, system integration, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with SAP, MOM, and other plant operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain MES for production, consumption, labeling, and material handling.
- Integrate MES with MOM and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., SAP PP/MM/QM, labeling systems).
- Troubleshoot workflow errors, log failures, and support plant operations during incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in SIT/UAT testing cycles and support release deployments and production support.
- Document workflow logic, functional designs, and user guides.
- Lead and guide team members in solution development and steady-state support.
Required Skills
- Experience with any MES application and strong Plant IT system integrations.
- Understanding of MES business processes (production, inventory, etc.).
- Integration experience with APIs, message queues, or shop-floor systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Minimum 6 years of development experience in VB, .Net, C#, and all phases of SDLC.
- Familiarity with MS SQL Server for log/data analysis and PL/SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or MES/MOM environments.
- Knowledge of labeling systems, material traceability, and shop-floor operations.
- Exposure to DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Git).
- Knowledge of Dutch language is a plus.
