Lead/Principal - Point of Sale (POS) Programme Manager
Nottingham (hybrid)
Max 2-3 days per week on-site in initial phase
We are seeking an experienced POS Programme Manager to lead and deliver large-scale Point of Sale (POS) transformation programmes for retail clients.
This role requires strong programme leadership, deep POS and Store functions domain knowledge, and the ability to manage complex, multi-vendor deliveries from design through rollout.
Key skills and experience:
Proven experience leading at least two large-scale POS transformations and rollout end to end
Hands-on experience and functional knowledge on POS products. NCR/ Xstore /GK POS is strongly preferred
Senior-level profile with the ability to lead complex POS change programmes.
Strong technical Programme Manager, capable of driving POS programme roadmap, Store Rollout strategy, drive decision making, leading POS architecture discussions and liaising with product vendor teams (not a generic programme manager profile)
Role and responsibilities:
Own the programme roadmap, delivery plan, governance, RAID management, and stakeholder reporting
Drive key programme decisions across scope, timeline, dependencies, and risk mitigation.
Engage closely with client stakeholders, retail operations, and senior sponsors to ensure alignment and successful outcome Lead end-to-end POS transformation programmes, including discovery, design, build, rollout, and hypercare.
Work with POS product vendors and system integrators (e.g. NCR, Oracle Xstore, GK) to manage delivery dependencies and resolve issues.
Lead cross-functional teams including architects, functional leads, technical teams, testing, and change management
Ensure strong focus on quality, stability, and business continuity during releases and store deployments.
Support consulting activities such as client workshops, solution reviews, executive updates, design recommendations
