About the role
We’re seeking a hands-on Lead/Senior .Net Developer will design, develop, and support scalable, secure, and high‑performance enterprise applications using NET 8+, C#, Entity Framework Core, UI Framework, etc.
In this role, you will:
· Should have a minimum experience of 9 years in developing applications and deriving solutions for requirements.
· Should have good hands-on experience in developing application front ends (UI) using Angular 6 and above.
· Should have good hands-on experience in developing windows applications using C#, .net framework 4 and above, Entity framework, ADO.Net, .Net Core, ASP.Net, WebAPI, web services.
· Should have strong knowledge on design patterns.
· Should have strong knowledge in working with oracle database (pl/Sql procedures, functions, triggers…)
· Ability to debug and understand the existing application extensions and design solutions with the knowledge gained.
· Knowledge on Healthcare is preferred.
· Should have strong analytical, technical and communication skills.
· Ensure the requirements meet the needs of the design.
· Create/Update/Review the detailed design.
· Should have experience Create/Update/Review Unit test cases
· Analyse the defects raised in JIRA.
· Ensure 100% process adherence and deliver 100% defect free cost.
Work model: Hybrid

What you need to have to be considered:
Technology Stack:
· Backend: .NET 8+, C#, Entity Framework Core.
· Frontend: Vue.js 2.0 (or any other UI Framework React/Angular).
· Database: SQL Server.
· DevOps: Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline.
· Methodology: Agile/Scrum.
· Cloud: Azure.
· Logging/Error Diagnostics: ELMAH (or similar logging frameworks).
· Background Jobs/ Scheduling: Hangfire.
· Third-party library: Ag-Grid.
· Data Integration/ETL: SSIS.

These will help you stand out:
· Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
· 8+ years of relevant experience.

Salary and compensation:
The annual salary for this position will be between $65,000 to $130,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
