About the role

As an Azure Integration Developer/Architect, you will make an impact by defining and delivering enterprise-grade cloud integration solutions across complex systems and platforms using Microsoft Azure services. You will be a valued member of the Enterprise Integration and Architecture team and work collaboratively with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, development teams, and DevOps partners to enable secure, scalable, and modern integration capabilities.

In this role, you will

  • Architect and deliver secure, scalable Azure integration solutions using API Management, Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, and Integration Accounts.

  • Define integration strategies, architectural patterns, and best practices for real-time, batch, and event-driven integrations.

  • Lead API gateway design including routing, transformation, throttling, caching, and custom policies using C# and JavaScript.

  • Drive event-driven and B2B integration architectures, including EDI workflows (X12, EDIFACT) and enterprise messaging patterns.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring development teams, supporting DevOps integration, and maintaining architectural documentation and runbooks.

What you need to have to be considered

  • 8+ years of experience in system integration and solution or technology architecture roles.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services including APIM, Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid/Event Hubs, and Integration Accounts.

  • Strong expertise designing APIs and integration solutions using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, OAuth2, and JWT.

  • Experience with C#, JavaScript, and scripting for custom APIM policies, data transformation, and serverless functions.

  • Proven experience designing secure, highly available, fault-tolerant cloud architectures using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.

These will help you stand out

  • Hands-on experience with EDI and B2B integration standards (X12, EDIFACT, AS2, SFTP).

  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

  • Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments with strong governance requirements.

  • Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Developer Associate.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence architecture decisions and drive integration modernization initiatives.

Work model: Remote from the United States, customer based in Parsippany, NJ based on Eastern Time Zone

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $83,600 – $129,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
