Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead (DotNet, Microservices) to drive the design and development of scalable, cloud‑native enterprise applications. This role requires deep expertise in .NET Core, C#, microservices architecture, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), along with strong leadership abilities to mentor teams and ensure high‑quality, reliable solutions.
About the Role
As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading backend engineering initiatives, defining technical direction, and translating architectural requirements into secure and high‑performing implementations. You will work closely with architects, product owners, and cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment, while guiding developers on best practices, design principles, and modern cloud technologies.

In this role, you will:
· Lead the design and development of highly scalable, robust, and secure backend services using C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
· Architect and implement cloud‑native microservices on Google Cloud Platform, utilizing GKE, Cloud Run, and App Engine.
· Work with GCP data services such as Spanner and Firestore, including stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
· Design and integrate event‑driven and asynchronous systems using Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, or queuing mechanisms.
· Ensure adherence to software design principles, coding standards, and enterprise architecture guidelines.
· Perform and lead code reviews, unit testing, deployment activities, and performance tuning.
· Collaborate across teams to troubleshoot and resolve development and production issues across multiple environments.
· Mentor and guide team members, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
· Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions to support timely delivery.
Work Model
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Seattle, WA or Dallas, TX.

Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using C#, .NET Core, and Entity Framework.
- Strong hands‑on experience designing backend systems and microservices architectures.
- Proven experience building cloud‑native solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Expertise with GCP Spanner and Firestore, including design and implementation best practices.
- Experience with messaging and integration technologies such as Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, or equivalent.
- Fair understanding of data warehouse concepts.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.
- Experience in code reviews, unit testing, CI/CD, deployment, and performance optimization.
- Ability to understand architectural requirements and ensure effective design, development, validation, and support.
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience in technical teams.
- Hands‑on exposure to Agile frameworks.
Good to Have
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including GitHub Actions.
- Exposure to Pub/Sub or other queuing mechanisms.
- Familiarity with Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
- Experience using Git for source control.
- Strong analytical, logical, and team‑leadership skills.

Salary and Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until May 20th, 2026.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 – $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to applicable plan terms.
