Job Title: Field services Engineer
Location : Anchorage , Alaska ( 100% onsite )
Job Summary –
Field Services Engineer provides onsite and remote technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. They install, troubleshoot, and maintain IT infrastructure while ensuring minimal downtime. The role involves direct customer interaction, incident resolution, and adherence to SLAs and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities –
• Provide onsite and remote support for hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and network devices
• Diagnose and resolve incidents within defined SLAs, escalating when required
• Perform break/fix, IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change), and preventive maintenance activities
• Coordinate with remote support teams and vendors for complex issue resolution
• Ensure compliance with security, safety, and customer policies while working onsite
• Document incidents, resolutions, and asset updates accurately in ticketing systems
Essential Skill required
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues
• Hands on experience with desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and peripheral devices
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, basic networking (LAN/WAN), and ITSM tools Ability to perform IMAC, break/fix, and onsite support activities independently Good communication and customer handling skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet SLA commitments
• Awareness of security, safety, and compliance standards
Education Qualifications required :-
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field
