About the role
As a Salesforce Technical Lead, you will play a key role in leading the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions that deliver exceptional value to our Life and Annuities Insurance clients. You will be a critical member of our Salesforce engineering team, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and scalable solutions that align with strategic business objectives.
Role Summary

In this role, you will:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions using Salesforce DX, Aura, Apex, and Lightning Web Components.
- Oversee the seamless integration of Salesforce platforms with external systems, ensuring optimized performance and data flow.
- Apply expertise in front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript ES5/ES6) to design intuitive, responsive user interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, maintain code quality, and manage version control through GitLab.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure alignment with best practices.
- Stay current with emerging Salesforce technologies and lead the adoption of innovative solutions.

What you need to have to be considered
- Proven experience designing and implementing Salesforce solutions with expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Aura.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3, and Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS).
- Proficient in Salesforce DX (SFDX), Git/GitLab for version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with SOQL, SOSL, API integrations (REST and SOAP), and event-driven architecture such as Platform Events.
- Hands-on experience with workflow automation using Flow or Process Builder.
- Ability to lead technical teams, perform code reviews, and ensure solution scalability and maintainability.
These will help you stand out
- Experience with MuleSoft and Financial Services Cloud.
- Exposure to test automation using Playwright.
- Previous experience within the Life and Annuities Insurance domain.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $ 100,000– $ 120,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
