Power BI Paginated Reports Developer
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Paginated Reports Developer to design and deliver high‑quality, print‑ready enterprise reports for global stakeholders. In this role, you will specialize in building pixel‑perfect, multilingual paginated reports optimized for PDF and Excel outputs, working closely with cross‑functional teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure reporting solutions. This position supports enterprise‑scale analytics initiatives and requires strong attention to detail, performance optimization, and data governance practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI Paginated Reports with precise layout control, ensuring accurate pagination, page breaks, and print‑ready formatting for PDF and Excel delivery.
- Implement advanced report features such as dynamic tables of contents, complex grouping, sorting, and multi‑page layouts for large enterprise reports.
- Apply conditional formatting, visibility rules, and parameter‑driven expressions to enhance usability and highlight key insights.
- Develop and support bilingual (English/French) reports, using parameters and expressions to dynamically switch labels, headers, and report content.
- Optimize report performance for large datasets through efficient SQL query design, dataset reuse, and performance tuning techniques.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate reporting needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Deploy and manage paginated reports in Power BI Service, including workspace organization, access control, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure reporting solutions adhere to organizational security, compliance, and data governance standards.
- Document report logic, parameters, datasets, and operational processes to support maintenance, audits, and knowledge transfer.
Required Qualifications
- Strong, hands‑on experience developing Power BI Paginated Reports using Power BI Report Builder.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of relational database concepts, particularly SQL Server.
- Experience with data modeling and ETL concepts supporting enterprise reporting.
- Working knowledge of Power BI Service, including workspaces and deployment practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to deliver pixel‑perfect report layouts.
- Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and optimizing report execution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DAX and interactive Power BI dashboards.
- Background in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
- Familiarity with Azure data services, such as Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Factory.
- Experience supporting enterprise‑scale or global reporting environments.
- Understanding of data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance standards.

Compensation & Benefits (Canada)
The annual base salary for this position in Canada will be aligned with market benchmarks and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications. Compensation may vary based on location within Canada, role level, and individual capabilities.
