About the role
As a Senior Consultant within Cognizant Consulting, you will make an impact by supporting large-scale mortgage technology transformation initiatives across Servicing, Origination, and Capital Markets for leading financial services clients. You will play a critical role in assessing complex IT ecosystems, documenting current-state capabilities, and partnering with business and technology stakeholders to drive clarity, alignment, and delivery excellence.
In this role, you will work closely with client teams to analyze end-to-end mortgage processes, translate business needs into clear requirements, and contribute to modernization programs spanning applications, integrations, and data flows.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct current-state IT ecosystem assessments across mortgage servicing, origination, and capital markets platforms
- Document applications, system integrations, process flows, capability models, and architecture views within the enterprise documentation repository
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand functional, regulatory, and operational requirements
- Develop user stories, functional requirements, and process maps aligned to Agile delivery practices
- Support consulting engagements by identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities within existing mortgage platforms
- Contribute to workshops, stakeholder discussions, and working sessions to validate findings and recommendations
What you must have to be considered:
- 6–10 years of Business Analyst experience within large-scale technology or consulting environments
- Deep U.S. mortgage domain expertise, including:
- Servicing: loan boarding, escrow, investor accounting
- Origination: underwriting, closing, post-close activities
- Capital Markets: secondary market processes, securitization, hedging
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, user story writing, and process mapping
- Hands-on experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
- Proven ability to document complex systems, integrations, and workflows in a structured and scalable manner
- Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
These will help you succeed:
- Experience supporting mortgage platform assessment or modernization initiatives
- Familiarity with large financial institution IT landscapes and enterprise architecture concepts
- Prior consulting experience delivering client-facing analysis and documentation
- Ability to work effectively in distributed, remote teams across time zones

Compensation (optional)
The annual salary for this position is dependent on experience and qualifications. This role may also be eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive programs, subject to applicable plan terms.
