This role provides Application Maintenance Support (AMS) for SAP FICO The consultant will support tax configuration, incident resolution, legal change updates, and statutory reporting, ensuring SAP FI/CO remains compliant and accurate through the transition period.
Job Summary
• Monitor and resolve incidents related to Nota Fiscal Eletrônica (NF-e), SPED Fiscal/Contribuições, and other statutory reporting integrations tied to FI/CO postings.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring tax posting errors, GL determination issues, and discrepancies between tax engine/localization outputs and SAP FI documents.
• Configure and maintain SAP tax procedures, condition types, tax codes, and account determination relevant to country specific tax law and the transition to the new tax regime.
• Collaborate with tax, finance, and IT stakeholders to translate new tax regime requirements (IBS/CBS/IS rules, transition rates, dual-run period) into SAP configuration.
• Execute change requests (CRs) and minor enhancements related to tax code mapping, condition records, and reporting adjustments driven by regulatory changes.
• Prepare and maintain support documentation: known error database (KEDB), SOPs, RCA reports
• Participate in regression testing and validation cycles whenever SAP applies legal/tax updates, ensuring no disruption to existing FI/CO postings.
• Ensure compliance with change management and ITIL process for all support tickets, CRs, and production changes.
• Provide on-call/rotational support coverage as per the AMS support model (business hours/extended coverage as applicable).
Required Skills & Qualifications
• hands-on SAP FICO configuration and support experience, with at least one tax localization project or support engagement.
• Working knowledge of indirect tax landscape (ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS, ISS) and its integration with SAP FI/CO.
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP FI/CO configuration: tax procedures, condition types, account determination, and GL postings.
• Experience applying SAP Legal Change/CBN (Central Business Notes) updates and validating their impact on existing configuration.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) and AMS support processes.
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA FICO preferred.
• Fluency in Portuguese is an advantage; strong English communication skills required for offshore-onshore collaboration.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder-communication skills.
• SAP FI/CO certification preferred.
