Role: Deskside Support Engineer
Location-South Sanfrancisco, CA

Job Responsibilities
· Setup, testing, operation, and tear down of audiovisual (Multimedia) and videoconference (VTC) equipment; (e.g., video data projection systems, computers, audio- and video conference equipment, video switchers, microphones, video cameras, audio systems, and operation of integrated Multimedia systems). Provide best effort assistance to fulfill any collaborative technology technical needs as assigned.
· Provide basic in room PC, laptop, wireless internet access and Slides/PowerPoint setup support. Coordinate with the client's IT Department for advanced support if required.
· Execute all aspects of videoconferences including call set up, end user training, troubleshooting, and follow through on escalation of issues.
· Provide consultation and education to all levels of end users on presentation technology equipment.
· Perform regular preventive maintenance checks (e.g., either report or address issues such as cable management, safety standards noncompliance, etc.).
· Oversee the staff setup, testing, maintenance, asset management, operation, and tear down of audiovisual (AV) and videoconference (VTC) equipment; (e.g., video data projection systems, computers, audio- and video conference equipment, microphones, video cameras, audio systems, and operation of integrated AV systems).
· Provide best effort assistance to fulfill any audiovisual technical requirements as assigned.
· Provide a monthly report containing room usage data, open action items, equipment maintenance, and upcoming preventive maintenance schedules.
· Maintain the process used to create trouble tickets, customer issue resolution logs, and asset management.
· Execute all aspects of videoconference support including call set up, end user training, troubleshooting, and follow through on escalation of issues.
· Provide consultation and education to all levels of end users on presentation technologies.
· Troubleshoot audiovisual and videoconferencing related technology (various projectors, control systems, audio and video conferencing).
· Provide remote support to technical and not technical resources
· Maintain conference room integrity.
· Perform regular preventive maintenance checks (e.g., either report or address issues such as cable management issues, safety standards noncompliance, etc.).
· Escalate housekeeping and technical issues outside of AV and conferencing technology and applications to appropriate departments.
· Maintain understanding of current and new presentation technologies.
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $68,000 to $74,500 yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
