Node.js Backend Engineer (Kogito & GCP)

Experience: 7+ years in backend development, including 3+ years building and deploying microservices on GCP or Kubernetes. Experience in healthcare claims processing and BPM platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Node.js/TypeScript microservices for claims intake, workflow processing, task management, notifications, and downstream integrations.
  • Build secure REST APIs, PostgreSQL database models, and event-driven integrations using Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
  • Integrate backend services with Kogito workflows, BPMN processes, DMN decision services, and AI/IDP platforms.
  • Implement reliability patterns such as idempotency, retries, dead-letter queues, and event publishing.
  • Ensure PHI-compliant logging, auditability, monitoring, and OpenTelemetry observability.
  • Drive code quality, performance optimization, secure coding practices, and provide L3 production support.
