As a Teaching Assistant L&D you will drive impactful contributions and focus on outcomes. You will be a key member of the Corporate Learning & Development team, collaborating with in-house Full Stack Educator ecosystem who own end-to-end learning life-cycle. The Teaching Assistant & Content Developer (AI assisted) plays a dual role — acting as the backend content engine for Full Stack Educators (FSEs) and as an active classroom presence supporting entry level talent (alias GenC – Generation Cognizant) skilling batches. On the content side, this role uses AI enabled tools to develop high quality, SME ready, reusable, and scalable learning assets. In the classroom, the TA assists FSEs in guiding GenCs — delivering foundational topics, supporting learner engagement, and reinforcing Cognizant values, professional behaviours, and AI literacy. Support learning delivery — content and classroom
· Support self‑paced and blended learning journeys
· Prepare content artifacts, exercises, and guided materials used by FSEs during live sessions
- Enable assessments, practice scenarios, and guided exercises for both in-person and digital delivery
Classroom facilitation support
· Be physically present in GenC / Intern batch classrooms to actively assist the Lead Educator (FSE) — observe, guide, and support learners in real time
· Independently deliver and facilitate foundational and soft-skill topics including: Cognizant values & code of ethics, professional behaviours & workplace readiness, stakeholder management & communication, AI foundation & Responsible AI awareness, and behavioural effectiveness for early career professionals
· Monitor learner engagement, flag concerns, and escalate to the FSE where required, act as the first point of contact for GenC questions during sessions
· Reinforce key learning moments, recap sessions, and support peer learning and cohort bonding within the batch
· Share classroom observations and learner feedback with the FSE to enable timely interventions and content improvements
Design & develop learning content
· Create storyboards, e‑learning modules, practice content, learning aids, and job aids
· Structure content into clear learning paths aligned to objectives and assessments
- Ensure content is ready for SME review, sign‑off, and deployment
AI‑assisted content creation
· Use AI tools / agents (LMS apps) to:
o Generate first drafts of content
o Enhance explanations, examples, and scenarios
- Create variations and personalization paths
- Continuously improve prompt quality and AI usage effectiveness
Work closely with the full stack educator ecosystem
· Act as backend support to FSEs for specific skills/domains
· Incorporate educator and SME feedback into content iterations
- Ensure alignment to curriculum, skill standards, and program outcomes
AI tools & platforms
· LMS/ apps and AI content agents
· GenAI tools for content generation, editing, and personalization
- LMS, content repositories, and assessment platforms

What you must have to be considered
- 1-3 yrs. of hands-on experience in technical or professional learning content development
- Working knowledge in at least one technical stack or domain (Java / DotNet / Python / Mainframe); commitment to periodic upskilling to stay current
- AI & GenAI: GenAI tools, AI-assisted coding, prompt engineering
- Classroom presence and learner engagement skills — ability to facilitate foundational topics (Cognizant Values, AI Foundations, Behavioural & Stakeholder topics) confidently in front of a GenC cohort
- Strong observation and learner support skills — ability to spot disengagement, confusion, or struggle and respond with empathy and clarity
- Strong written communication and content structuring skills
- Ability to translate concepts into learner‑friendly explanations
- Attention to detail, version control, and quality standards
- Willing to travel across Cognizant locations where GenC batches are onboarded
- A strong sense of ownership, desire to create meaningful outcomes, and passion for work that serves a greater good for customers, communities, or global challenges.

These will help you succeed
- Demonstrated proficiency in AI‑enabled content creation tools and GenAI platforms; must upskill on new AI capabilities periodically to stay effective
- Applied knowledge of adult learning principles and L&D frameworks, with commitment to continuous learning and periodic upskilling
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a Cognizant office in Chennai, Siruseri, Tamil Nadu.
