About the role
As a Quality Engineering Program Manager (Commercial P&C Claims), you will make an impact by leading and delivering complex programs supporting commercial underwriting and claims initiatives. You will be a valued member of a cross‑functional delivery and leadership team, working closely with business leaders, Quality Engineering and Assurance teams, and senior technology stakeholders to drive execution, transformation, and measurable outcomes.
This role requires a strong balance of program leadership, testing and quality expertise, business knowledge, and executive‑level stakeholder engagement, supporting large‑scale technology and transformation programs.
In this role, you will:
• Lead program planning and execution for commercial underwriting and claims initiatives, ensuring alignment to business and technology objectives.
• Manage communication, expectations, and outcomes for senior stakeholders, including CIO‑level leadership and Quality Engineering and Assurance leaders.
• Influence and align CIO strategic priorities with program execution, including initiatives related to test automation, GenAI implementation, and data strategy.
• Drive organizational change management, supporting adoption of new processes, strategies, and tools across teams.
• Serve as a champion for transformation and innovation, promoting modern delivery and quality practices.
• Develop, manage, and track program budgets, milestones, and financial performance.
• Identify and manage program risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies across multiple workstreams.
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a Cognizant or client office in Charlotte, NC. What you need to have to be considered
• 10+ years of experience in program and/or project management, leading complex, multi‑workstream initiatives.
• 15+ years of experience in testing or quality engineering, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and techniques.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial P&C Claims environments.
• Proven experience working directly with CIOs or senior technology executives.
• Strong combination of business and technical acumen, with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
• Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with Duck Creek platforms within Commercial P&C environments.
• Background leading technology transformation initiatives, including automation or AI‑driven programs.
• Experience managing programs across distributed or cross‑functional teams.
• Strong change‑management mindset with a track record of driving adoption and measurable improvement.
