About the role
As a QNXT Infrastructure & Installation Engineer, you will make an impact by deploying, configuring, securing, and supporting enterprise-scale TriZetto QNXT healthcare administration platforms. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Delivery team and work collaboratively with infrastructure engineers, database administrators, application teams, integration specialists, and client stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable healthcare solutions.
In this role, you will:
Install, configure, validate, upgrade, and support TriZetto QNXT platform components across enterprise environments.
Deploy and maintain QNXT modules including QNXT Core, QFramework, QNXT Connect, QNXT Reports, QNXT Appeals & Grievance, QNXT Open Access, myQNXT, and QNXT Member Service.
Administer Microsoft Windows Server, IIS, .NET, PowerShell, and SQL Server environments that support mission-critical healthcare applications.
Configure and support integration solutions leveraging BizTalk Server, REST APIs, SOAP services, EDI transactions, ActiveMQ, and Kafka platforms.
Implement and maintain security controls, including TLS/SSL certificates, encryption technologies, certificate-based authentication, and secure configuration management.
Support database administration activities, including deployments, migrations, upgrades, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and reporting services configuration.
Build, deploy, and support containerized QNXT solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, QNXT ConfigTools, and DevOps tooling to improve deployment efficiency and operational reliability.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application, integration, and performance issues across multiple environments.
Collaborate with project teams to support implementation, testing, deployment, and go-live activities while ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and best practices.

What you need to have to be considered
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of experience in enterprise application installation, infrastructure administration, or platform engineering.
3+ years of experience supporting healthcare payer platforms or healthcare enterprise applications.
Experience implementing and supporting complex multi-server enterprise environments.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server administration, security, and service account management.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database deployments, migrations, backup and recovery, performance tuning, SSRS, and SSIS.
Experience administering IIS, .NET Framework, .NET Runtime environments, and PowerShell automation.
Knowledge of integration technologies including REST APIs, SOAP services, XML/XSLT, BizTalk Server, and HIPAA EDI transactions.
Experience with Apache Kafka, Apache ActiveMQ, and event-driven integration architectures.
Strong understanding of TLS/SSL configuration, PKI, certificate lifecycle management, encryption technologies, and identity management.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized application deployments.
Excellent troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
These will help you stand out
Prior experience implementing, upgrading, or administering the TriZetto QNXT platform.
Healthcare payer, health insurance, or claims administration industry experience.
Experience deploying and supporting Azure cloud or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments.
Knowledge of claims adjudication systems and healthcare operational workflows.
Experience designing or supporting high-availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and CMS compliance standards.
Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.
Ability to lead infrastructure deployments and provide technical guidance across implementation projects.
Strong technical documentation and customer-facing consulting experience.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $99K - $112K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
