About the role
As a Senior ServiceNow Solution Architect, you will make an impact by leading the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions that drive business transformation and operational excellence. You will be a valued member of the ServiceNow Consulting Practice and work closely with executive stakeholders, client leadership, architects, and delivery teams to define technology strategy, guide solution architecture, and ensure successful implementation outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of complex ServiceNow solutions across multiple product lines and enterprise environments.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor to clients, translating complex business challenges into scalable and sustainable ServiceNow solutions.
- Define platform architecture, integration strategies, governance models, and development standards to ensure long-term scalability and supportability.
- Partner with executive stakeholders, process owners, and delivery teams to align technology investments with business objectives.
- Evaluate solution alternatives, communicate configuration versus customization trade-offs, and provide recommendations that minimize technical debt.
- Lead architectural reviews, technical decision-making, and solution governance across programs and strategic initiatives.
- Mentor and coach architects, developers, and technical consultants to promote technical excellence and delivery quality.
- Act as the final escalation point for technical decisions within assigned programs and engagements.
- Support business development activities by contributing to solutioning, opportunity scoping, and client presentations.
- Drive continuous improvement of architecture standards, implementation methodologies, and ServiceNow best practices.

What you need to have to be considered
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of consulting experience with a strong background in enterprise technology transformation.
- 4+ years of ServiceNow platform architecture and multi-platform configuration experience.
- Experience participating in and leading multiple large-scale ServiceNow implementations across various product lines.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – ITSM.
- Additional ServiceNow CIS certifications across multiple product lines.
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow architecture, governance, integrations, platform strategy, and enterprise solution design.
- Experience with ServiceNow scripting, APIs, web services, and modern integration methodologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
These will help you stand out
- Experience architecting solutions across multiple ServiceNow product lines, including ITOM, SecOps, ITAM, Strategic Portfolio Management, Customer Service Management, HR Service Delivery, or related areas.
- Knowledge of ITIL, TOGAF, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Experience leading global ServiceNow transformation initiatives and complex integration programs.
- Strong background in Agile delivery methodologies and cloud-based platform implementations.
- Proven success mentoring architects, developers, and technical consultants.
- Experience supporting organizational change management and governance initiatives.
- Expertise in executive stakeholder engagement, solution workshops, and strategic technology consulting.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $130,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
