Production Support Lead (.NET / SQL Server / PHP)
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Support Lead to drive the operational stability, performance, and continuous improvement of a critical enterprise application. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong ITSM expertise, production support leadership experience, and technical knowledge of .NET, SQL Server, and PHP who can effectively manage incidents, lead escalations, and partner with engineering teams to deliver lasting solutions.

In this role, you will:
- Lead the operational health and stability of critical production applications.
- Own incident management processes and drive reduction of recurring production issues.
- Lead P1/P2 incident response, war-room calls, and cross-functional escalations.
- Partner with engineering teams to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
- Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Track and report key support metrics, trends, and service health indicators.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, and support organizations to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce incident volume and improve service reliability.
- Support change management activities and ensure production readiness for releases.

What you need to have to be considered:
- 6+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, or IT Operations.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- ITIL Certification preferred.
- Hands-on experience supporting applications built with C#.NET, SQL Server, and PHP.
- Ability to review application logs, troubleshoot issues, and execute diagnostic SQL queries.
- Experience conducting RCA and driving problem management initiatives.
- Proven experience managing high-volume production support environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Experience leading critical incident bridges and coordinating cross-functional teams during major incidents.
- Strong analytical skills with experience creating operational dashboards, KPI reporting, and service health metrics using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale financial or customer-facing applications.
- Exposure to DevOps, monitoring, and observability tools.
- Experience implementing service improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Knowledge of automation and support process optimization.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $94,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
