About the Role
As a Technical Consultant – ServiceNow, you will make an impact by delivering cloud-based ServiceNow solutions that help the world's leading companies become more flexible, innovative, and successful. You will be a valued member of the ServiceNow practice team and work collaboratively with Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, and project stakeholders across the full delivery lifecycle — from requirements scoping and solution design through to deployment and support.
In this role, you will:
- Configure and customise the ServiceNow platform — including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and Playbooks — while designing and developing custom applications, forms, dashboards, and Service Portal solutions using HTML, CSS, and AngularJS to meet client-specific requirements.
- Build and optimise workflows and automation — using Flow Designer, custom workflow activities, and Service Catalog configurations to streamline ITIL processes and reduce manual effort across the enterprise.
- Implement and support system integrations — connecting ServiceNow to external platforms (including SAP, Azure, and Active Directory) via REST/SOAP web services, Integration Hub, and JDBC, while ensuring CMDB integrity and CSDM compliance through Import Sets and Transform Maps.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs — partnering closely with Functional Consultants and Business Analysts to produce robust technical documentation, conduct unit testing, support QA and UAT, and manage code migration via Update Sets or CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide 2nd/3rd level ServiceNow support — resolving incidents, enhancements, and defects using JavaScript and server-side scripting, while adhering to ServiceNow and industry best practices to minimise technical debt and ensure long-term platform stability.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

- Strong scripting proficiency in JavaScript (including Glide Script), HTML, and CSS, with solid command of web technologies used in ServiceNow development.
- Demonstrated implementation experience in at least one major ServiceNow suite — such as ITSM, HAM/SAM, ITOM, or SecOps-SOAR — including working knowledge of CMDB, CSDM, Import Sets, and Transform Maps.
- Fluency in English and Dutch — a strong command of both languages is required; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
These Will Help You Stand Out
- Additional ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified Application Developer (CAD) or one or more Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) designations (e.g., CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITAM, CIS-SIR).
- Deep understanding of ITSM principles and ITIL best practices, with the ability to apply them pragmatically within ServiceNow implementations.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Azure, Active Directory, Microsoft Teams, CoPilot, Snowflake, and Power BI via Integration Hub.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD pipeline management and collaborative sprint-based delivery.
