Job Description:
IPA Consulting is looking for a agentic process transformation consultant in Finance, who can think like an advisor, shape solutions like a product owner and collaborate with delivery like a hands-on business lead. The role is not limited to documenting processes or listing F&A AI ideas. It requires ownership of the journey from business problem to credible prototype, measurable value proposition and reusable offering across industry verticals.
Experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting /commerce or Degree / Diploma in Business Administration with specialization in Finance
- Must have 10 + years of hands-on consulting experience in Finance & Accounting function with exposure to General Accounting, Financial Reporting
- Must have good understanding and grasp of US GAAP and IFRS principals and standards pertaining to Financial Closing and Reporting for multinational corporations
- Experience in working on processes in functional areas such as Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), Record to Report (R2R) and Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Experience in building AI Agents on F&A functional areas using Copilot Studio, Gemini Enterprise or AWS
- Experience of working on Finance Transformation & Improvement initiatives using BPMN tools as well as Intelligent automation
- Ability to understand the business process and create process flow diagrams using tools like Figma, Signavio, Visio with swim lanes and BPMN framework
- Experience in building Finance Target Operating Models, establishing a new process framework, building Finance process taxonomy for any Finance areas
- Ability to work in cross functional environments and effectively collaborate with key project members and stakeholders
- Experience in working on ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics and Peoplesoft
- Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional environments with Finance SMEs, product owners, architects, data teams, developers and change teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to flex messaging for stakeholders at all levels
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Process Discovery workshops with clients in Finance & Accounting areas to develop process baseline and identify opportunities for re-engineering, simplification and automation
- Identify where Agentic AI can augment judgment, coordinate multi-step work, manage exceptions, generate artifacts or recommend actions within Finance workflows
- Distinguish between opportunities best addressed through process change, analytics, rules-based automation, workflow, Generative AI or Agentic AI, avoiding technology-led use-case selection.
- Conduct ideations sessions with Finance SME to analyze process bottlenecks and develop and blueprint for future state process
- Create and develop process documentation such as process flows, process taxonomy, standard operating procedures etc.
- Collect and analyze Process Volumetrics to identify root causes and quantify potential impact of process automation/ transformation
- Build process transformation and recommendations that are aligned with business CFO goals and are focused on delivering key business objectives like cost savings, process efficiency, compliance etc.
- Convert selected use cases into actionable POC or prototype charters covering scope, personas, journeys, scenarios, functional requirements, assumptions, boundaries and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with architects, AI engineers, data engineers, developers, UX designers and automation teams to shape the solution and maintain alignment to the intended business outcome.
- Provide Finance domain guidance to delivery teams, including business rules, accounting context, exception scenarios, control expectations and realistic test cases
- Build reusable Finance and Agentic AI assets such as use-case catalogs, discovery questionnaires, reference workflows, personas, demo scripts, value frameworks and prototype templates
Travel: Ability to travel to client sites as needed
