About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Hyperion Senior Functional Consultant to lead the design, enhancement, and support of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions, including Hyperion Planning, Financial Management (HFM), Essbase, FDMEE/FDM, and DRM. The consultant will collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, and FP&A teams to transform business requirements into effective EPM solutions, oversee implementation and optimization initiatives, and provide functional expertise across planning, forecasting, budgeting, consolidation, and reporting functions.
In this role, you will: · Lead the functional architecture, configuration, and deployment of Oracle Hyperion EPM applications (Planning, HFM, Essbase, FDMEE/FDM, DRM) aligned with business objectives and financial reporting needs.
· Partner with Finance and FP&A stakeholders to gather, assess, and document requirements, translating business needs into scalable and sustainable Hyperion solutions.
· Administer and enhance Hyperion Planning and Essbase environments, including dimensions, calculation logic, business rules, data forms, and reporting artifacts.
· Support financial close, consolidation, and reporting activities by resolving application issues, validating data integrity, and ensuring operational continuity.
· Drive testing efforts across unit, system integration, and user acceptance testing phases, while developing documentation and delivering user training and knowledge transfer sessions.

What you need to have to be considered: · Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
· 8+ years of experience implementing, enhancing, and supporting Oracle Hyperion/EPM applications, including Planning, HFM, Essbase, FDMEE/FDM, and DRM.
· Proven experience participating in at least 3-4 full lifecycle Hyperion implementation projects in a functional or techno-functional consulting capacity.
· Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial consolidation processes.
· Hands-on expertise with Essbase calculations, Hyperion business rules, Smart View, and financial reporting solutions.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with business and executive teams.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $135,000 - $160,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
