Serve as an Architect for complex hybrid delivery solutions in Retail Banking applying deep expertise in Kotlin Java and Spring Boot to design secure scalable and reliable applications that enhance customer centric services while aligning with business goals regulatory expectations and enterprise technology standards for a global organization.
Responsibilities
Design end to end application architectures for retail banking platforms using Kotlin Java and Spring Boot that balance performance scalability security and maintainability while supporting day to day business operationsDefine and document architecture blueprints integration patterns and reference implementations that guide engineering teams in building consistent and robust retail banking solutionsCollaborate with product owners business analysts and domain experts to translate retail banking requirements into clear technical designs that improve customer journeys across digital channelsProvide technical guidance to development teams on clean coding practices microservice decomposition API design and secure transaction handling within the retail banking contextEvaluate existing Java and Spring Boot applications to identify modernization opportunities and drive migration strategies that reduce technical debt and improve system resilienceEnsure that solution designs align with enterprise architecture standards data governance policies security controls and regulatory expectations relevant to retail bankingOversee non functional requirements such as performance capacity availability and observability and ensure that application designs are validated through appropriate testing strategiesCoordinate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to define deployment patterns CI CD pipelines and runtime configurations that support hybrid work models and day shift operationsConduct design and code reviews focused on correctness performance and security and provide actionable feedback that raises the engineering quality across teamsPartner with stakeholders to assess technology options third party components and integration approaches and recommend solutions that optimize cost while maintaining reliability and complianceDrive the adoption of best practices in domain driven design event driven architectures and API first development to enable reusable services across retail banking productsCreate and maintain architecture documentation diagrams and decision records that provide clear traceability for technical choices and support knowledge sharing across global teamsEngage with risk compliance and security teams to design controls for data privacy transaction integrity and fraud prevention across all retail banking channels
Qualifications
Offer extensive professional experience in architecting and implementing enterprise grade applications using Kotlin Java and Spring Boot within complex organizational environmentsDemonstrate strong knowledge of retail banking processes such as account management payments loans and customer onboarding as well as the supporting technology patternsApply practical understanding of microservices RESTful APIs event streaming and integration patterns that are commonly used in modern banking platformsUtilize hands on experience with relational databases caching solutions and messaging technologies to design reliable data flows for financial transactionsExhibit proficiency in secure coding practices authentication and authorization concepts encryption approaches and protection of sensitive customer information in banking systemsShow familiarity with cloud ready application design containerization and CI CD concepts that support efficient delivery in a hybrid work settingCommunicate complex architectural concepts clearly to technical and non technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across distributed teams to meet delivery goals
Certifications Required
Professional certifications in Java or cloud architecture such as Oracle Certified Professional Java or a major cloud architect certification are preferred
