Responsibilities
Perform detailed bank accounting activities including recording daily cash movements and validating postings to ensure accurate representation of financial positions across multiple entitiesExecute thorough bank reconciliation processes by comparing ledger balances with bank statements and promptly resolving discrepancies to maintain reliable cash and liquidity informationMaintain comprehensive documentation for all bank accounting transactions to support audits regulatory reviews and internal control assessments while enabling transparent financial operationsCoordinate closely with finance and accounting teams to provide bank transaction data and variance analysis that supports timely month end and year end close activities in a hybrid work environmentPrepare structured schedules and reconciliations required for record to report activities ensuring that bank related entries flow correctly into general ledger and financial statementsSupport continuous improvement of bank accounting procedures by identifying process gaps proposing enhancements and adopting standardized practices aligned with global finance policiesProvide clear explanations of bank accounting variances to internal stakeholders translating complex figures into understandable insights that support effective business and cash management decisionsMonitor compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards in all bank accounting activities helping to reduce risk and protect organizational assets during night shift operationsAssist in the preparation of cash flow related reports by consolidating bank data and highlighting trends that inform treasury and finance teams about liquidity planning and operational funding needsContribute to system testing and validation during finance tool updates by verifying bank accounting scenarios and ensuring that data flows are accurate reliable and aligned with reporting requirementsCollaborate with cross functional partners in finance and operations to address bank related queries and to ensure that incoming and outgoing payments are recorded correctly and promptlyUtilize productivity tools and accounting systems to manage work queues prioritize reconciliation tasks and meet strict reporting deadlines while maintaining high data quality standardsSupport organizational purpose by ensuring that financial information related to banking activities is trustworthy enabling ethical decision making responsible growth and positive impact on customers and communities
Qualifications
Demonstrate solid practical experience in bank accounting typically between two and four years including hands on exposure to reconciliations transaction recording and issue resolutionApply strong understanding of core accounting principles to bank postings and general ledger activity ensuring that entries are accurate supported and aligned with established standardsBring knowledge of record to report processes including close activities reconciliations and reporting cycles as a beneficial domain skill that enhances overall contribution to finance operationsShow familiarity with finance and accounting concepts such as cash management accruals and balance sheet integrity which supports effective analysis of bank transactions and related accountsUse financial systems and spreadsheets proficiently to extract data perform reconciliations and prepare schedules demonstrating comfort with technology in a hybrid working modelCommunicate clearly in written and verbal form with finance colleagues auditors and stakeholders to explain bank accounting matters and support cooperative resolution of issuesManage tasks systematically during night shifts by organizing workloads meeting deadlines and maintaining focus on accuracy and control despite time sensitive demandsDisplay commitment to ethical conduct and strong attention to detail which helps safeguard company funds improves data reliability and reinforces trust in financial reporting processes
Certifications Required
