About the role
As a Quality Assurance & UAT Manager – Commercial Real Estate, you will make an impact by leading enterprise-wide quality assurance and user acceptance testing initiatives that ensure successful delivery of business-critical technology solutions. You will be a valued member of the Technology and Product team and will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, development teams, and program leadership to drive quality excellence across the software delivery lifecycle.
In this role, you will:
• Own and lead the business-facing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase for pre-production releases, partnering with Product and Technology teams to define and execute the UAT strategy.
• Serve as the quality bridge between business and delivery teams by transforming product requirements into effective test scenarios, facilitating stakeholder walkthroughs, coordinating defect triage, and ensuring UAT readiness.
• Establish and govern program-wide quality gates for testing and releases, providing independent Go/No-Go recommendations to program leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop QA professionals while driving capability enhancement, resource planning, capacity management, and adoption of AI-enabled testing practices.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability and compliance across requirements, test cases, defects, and releases to support audit, regulatory, and governance requirements.
• Drive defect governance, root cause analysis, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance release quality and provide predictive risk insights.
Work Model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days per week onsite in a client or Cognizant office in Newark, NJ. While Newark-area candidates are preferred, qualified applicants across the United States may also be considered for a remote work arrangement. What you need to have to be considered
• Strong experience leading Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing programs for enterprise applications.
• Commercial Real Estate domain expertise is required.
• Proven experience managing UAT planning, coordination, execution, metrics reporting, and stakeholder communications.
• Hands-on experience with release management, defect management, and quality governance processes.
• Experience establishing quality gates, test strategies, and Go/No-Go assessments for large-scale technology programs.
• Experience managing QA team.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across business, product, technology, and executive stakeholder groups.

• Experience leveraging AI-enabled testing and quality engineering tools.
• Knowledge of audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements within Commercial Real Estate platforms and operations.
• Experience implementing quality metrics, predictive risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Experience working in large-scale digital transformation or enterprise modernization programs.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until August 21, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $71,100– $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
