Java Full Stack + Agentic AI Engineer

Job Summary

Lead Software Engineer role in a global asset and wealth management technology team responsible for designing and delivering complex hybrid cloud applications using modern Java React and microservices. The role drives high quality engineering practices secure and scalable solutions and close collaboration with product operations and business stakeholders to enhance client facing platforms and advisor tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end to end design and delivery of complex hybrid cloud applications that support asset and wealth management products ensuring scalable secure and resilient solutions for clients and advisors.
• Drive architecture decisions for microservices based platforms using Java seventeen Spring Boot and AWS services aligning technical direction with long term business and technology strategies.
• Oversee development of responsive user interfaces using React Js and JavaScript that offer intuitive portfolio views transaction workflows and advisory tools for wealth management customers.
• Provide technical guidance on core Java patterns concurrency collections and performance tuning to ensure robust backend services powering account management trading and reporting functions.
• Coordinate integration of microservices with SQL and PL SQL MySQL data stores enabling consistent data access complex queries and reliable transaction processing across asset and wealth management systems.
• Guide implementation of secure APIs for internal and external consumers enforcing authentication authorization and data protection standards aligned with regulatory expectations in the financial domain.
• Collaborate with product managers business analysts and operations partners to translate asset and wealth management requirements into detailed technical designs and incremental delivery plans.
• Ensure high engineering standards through rigorous code reviews unit and integration testing approaches and continuous improvement of development practices across the team.
• Manage deployment pipelines on AWS using automated build and release processes supporting blue green or rolling deployments and minimizing client impact during production changes.
• Direct root cause analysis and resolution of complex production incidents in day shift hybrid environment improving system stability and reducing service disruption for portfolio and advisory services.
• Promote observability by defining logging metrics and alerts for microservices and front end modules enabling proactive monitoring of performance capacity and user experience.
• Coordinate cross team collaboration with data security and infrastructure groups to optimize application performance database access patterns and cloud resource usage for wealth platforms.
• Drive documentation of application architectures data flows service contracts and operational runbooks to ensure clarity maintainability and smooth onboarding of new engineering talent.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate extensive experience of seventeen to twenty one years in enterprise software engineering with deep hands on expertise in Java core Java and Spring Boot for mission critical systems.
• Show strong proficiency in modern Java seventeen features including streams functional constructs and improved memory management techniques applied to high volume financial applications.
• Exhibit advanced skills in React Js and JavaScript for building modular reusable components and state driven interfaces that improve client engagement with wealth management platforms.
• Bring solid background in designing and maintaining microservices architectures including service decomposition inter service communication and fault tolerance in distributed environments.
• Apply expertise in AWS cloud services such as compute storage and managed databases to design secure and cost efficient deployment topologies for asset and wealth management workloads.
• Possess strong SQL and PL SQL MySQL skills for schema design query optimization and stored procedure development supporting portfolio accounting risk analytics and regulatory reporting needs.
• Demonstrate proven experience in asset and wealth management domain including portfolio construction order management client reporting and compliance concepts embedded into application workflows.
• Show familiarity with hybrid working models and distributed agile practices ensuring effective collaboration across onsite and remote locations without requiring frequent travel.
• Exhibit strong mentoring and leadership capabilities by coaching engineers setting coding standards and fostering a culture of ownership quality and continuous learning.
• Display solid understanding of secure software development practices relevant to financial services including encryption data privacy controls and auditability of critical operations.
