About the role
As a Senior Product Specialist, you will make an impact by designing, configuring, and optimizing Facets capabilities across Finance, Billing, Claims, Provider, Plan Product, Membership, Group, and Premium Billing domains. You will leverage your healthcare payer expertise to deliver scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen data integrity, and support accurate premium billing and health plan administration.
You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Payer team and work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, product owners, and technology partners to implement and support Facets solutions that enhance outcomes for members and providers.

In this role, you will:
Lead the configuration and optimization of Facets Finance and Premium Billing modules to support accurate premium calculations, payment processing, and financial reconciliation.
Manage end-to-end Facets claims workflows to ensure accurate adjudication, benefit application, and timely resolution of processing exceptions.
Configure and maintain Facets Provider data, ensuring accurate network information, contract alignment, and reimbursement rule integration.
Administer Plan Product configurations, including benefit structures, rating methodologies, accumulators, and coverage rules that support compliant health plan operations.
Support Membership and Group configuration activities to ensure eligibility accuracy, enrollment integrity, and seamless premium billing outcomes.
Analyze premium billing processes and Facets data models to identify defects, process gaps, and opportunities for operational improvement.
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Facets configurations and functional solutions.
Conduct impact assessments, regression validation, and testing activities to ensure stability across Facets Finance, Billing, Claims, Provider, Membership, Group, and Product modules.
Develop and maintain detailed configuration documentation, process flows, business rules, and implementation artifacts.
Investigate and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and recommend sustainable corrective actions.
Coordinate functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation activities for premium billing and related enhancements.
Provide training, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support to business users and operational teams.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by recommending data-driven enhancements that improve financial performance and member experience.
What you need to have to be considered
6 to 10 years of experience working with Facets Finance, Billing, and Premium Billing functions within healthcare payer organizations.
Strong hands-on expertise with Facets Claims, Provider, Membership, Group, and Plan Product modules.
Deep knowledge of healthcare payer premium billing processes, including rating structures, invoicing, adjustments, payment applications, and reconciliation activities.
Strong understanding of the Facets data model and how core modules interact across integrated payer workflows.
Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into configuration designs, business rules, and testing scenarios.
Proven ability to analyze complex datasets, identify defects, validate configurations, and support operational reporting.
Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing activities.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.

Experience supporting Commercial, Medicare, or Medicaid health plans.
Prior experience leading Facets implementation, optimization, or modernization initiatives.
Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management and payer financial operations.
Experience performing root cause analysis and production support for large-scale healthcare systems.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and healthcare technology transformation projects.
Facets certification or certifications related to healthcare payer platforms.
Training or experience in healthcare payer operations, premium billing administration, or revenue cycle management.

Work Model
This is a fully remote position. Associates will work remotely while collaborating closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and cross-functional technology partners to deliver high-quality Facets solutions and support healthcare payer operations.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $82K - $90K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
