About the Role
As an Oracle Fusion ERP Functional Test Lead, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality, accuracy, and successful delivery of Oracle Fusion ERP implementations through comprehensive testing of finance, procurement, data conversion, and enterprise integrations. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with ERP functional consultants, business process owners, implementation partners, offshore testing teams, and program stakeholders.
In This Role, You Will:
Develop and execute end-to-end test scenarios derived from enterprise structure design, chart of accounts configuration, business process flows, and Oracle Fusion ERP configurations.
Lead functional testing activities across System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and release validation cycles.
Own ERP integration testing across finance and procurement ecosystems, including banking, tax, revenue accounting, enterprise data platforms, and other connected applications.
Define and validate data conversion and migration test scenarios, including financial balances, supplier records, asset data, open transactions, and reconciliation activities.
Validate financial controls, approval workflows, role-based security, and segregation of duties (SoD) requirements in partnership with risk and compliance stakeholders.
Facilitate UAT sessions with Finance and Procurement business users, managing test execution, defect tracking, and issue resolution.
Drive defect triage and resolution by partnering closely with Oracle functional consultants, implementation teams, and system integrators.
Collaborate with automation engineers to identify regression candidates and define automation-ready test scenarios that support long-term testing strategy.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Enterprise Application Testing.
6+ years of experience leading functional testing for Oracle ERP or Oracle Financials implementations.
Experience owning testing activities for at least one full lifecycle Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation from design through go-live.
Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Financials processes including General Ledger, Subledger Accounting, Period Close, Consolidation, Accounting Hub, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
Experience designing and executing test scenarios independently, without requiring detailed guidance from ERP functional consultants.
Practical understanding of financial accounting concepts, including chart of accounts, legal entities, business units, intercompany transactions, accruals, reconciliations, and financial close processes.
Hands-on experience with enterprise data conversion, migration validation, reconciliation testing, and financial data integrity verification.
Experience performing integration testing across multiple enterprise systems and interfaces.
Experience leading and directing offshore testing teams while reviewing test deliverables for quality and completeness.
Proficiency with enterprise test management tools and strong focus on traceability, defect management, and test evidence documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document actionable defects and testing outcomes.
These Will Help You Stand Out
Experience supporting PeopleSoft Financials to Oracle Fusion Cloud migration programs.
Knowledge of Oracle Risk Management Cloud, Advanced Controls, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) testing.
Experience testing Oracle Supply Chain Management (SCM), Inventory, and Item Master processes.
Familiarity with test automation tools such as Provar, Opkey, Tricentis, Selenium, Playwright, OATS, or similar platforms.
Experience working in complex, regulated, asset-intensive, or highly integrated enterprise environments.
Experience supporting multi-entity organizations, large-scale transformations, or post-merger integration initiatives.
Prior accounting, finance, audit, or ERP functional consulting experience.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $81,513 to $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
