Job Summary
The Technology Architect will design and optimize Workday HCM solutions for a global organization in a hybrid work model focusing on scalable architectures that enhance workforce management and data integrity. The role involves translating complex business needs into robust configurations and integrations with impact across online processes and finance and accounting operations while ensuring reliability and long term sustainability of the Workday ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable Workday HCM architectures that align with enterprise standards and support long term growth of human capital management capabilities across the organization
- Develop detailed solution designs for core Workday HCM modules that ensure accurate data flows efficient business processes and consistent configuration practices
- Coordinate end to end Workday HCM implementations and enhancements by collaborating with functional consultants and technical teams to deliver high quality outcomes
- Optimize existing Workday HCM configurations by analyzing usage patterns and recommending adjustments that improve usability performance and data quality
- Create comprehensive technical design documents and configuration guidelines for Workday HCM that provide clear direction to implementation and support teams
- Review integration requirements and architect Workday interfaces with internal systems to ensure reliable data exchange for workforce online operations and finance and accounting processes
- Provide guidance on Workday security configuration that supports compliance protects sensitive employee information and enables appropriate access for global user communities
- Evaluate new Workday features and releases to propose adoption strategies that enhance business capabilities while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex workforce online and finance and accounting requirements into Workday technical solutions that deliver measurable business value
- Support testing cycles by defining technical test scenarios reviewing results and driving resolution of defects related to Workday HCM architecture and integrations
- Mentor implementation and support teams on Workday HCM best practices to ensure consistent solution quality and sustainable application health
- Coordinate incident analysis for Workday HCM issues by identifying root causes and defining corrective actions that prevent recurrence and improve system stability
- Document technical standards and architectural patterns for Workday HCM to ensure reuse of proven design approaches across multiple initiatives
Qualifications
- Demonstrate extensive hands on experience in Workday HCM configuration and solution design over at least eight years in complex enterprise environments
- Apply strong understanding of Workday HCM business processes such as workforce administration absence management performance and compensation to design effective solutions
- Utilize experience with online transactional environments to shape Workday architectures that support digital employee interactions and self service capabilities
- Leverage familiarity with finance and accounting domains to align Workday HCM data structures with downstream financial reporting and compliance needs
- Show proficiency in requirements analysis and documentation to capture business needs and convert them into clear Workday HCM technical specifications
- Exhibit solid skills in data mapping and interface design to support integrations between Workday HCM and internal applications while maintaining data consistency
- Use strong problem solving and analytical skills to diagnose complex Workday issues and recommend pragmatic architectural improvements
- Apply effective communication and collaboration skills in a hybrid work model to coordinate with stakeholders during design workshops reviews and solution walkthroughs
- Bring experience working in structured implementation methodologies for Workday including testing deployment and post go live stabilization activities
- Maintain awareness of Workday HCM roadmap and industry trends in human capital technology to propose innovations that support organizational and societal impact
