Senior AI Architect
About the role
As a Senior AI Architect, you will make an impact by defining end-to-end Agentic AI architectures that turn large language models, multi-agent systems, and orchestration layers into secure, scalable, enterprise-grade solutions for our client. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, data and platform teams, and cross-functional engineering groups.

In this role, you will
Define end-to-end Agentic AI architecture frameworks leveraging LLMs, multi-agent systems, and orchestration layers.
Design autonomous AI agents capable of planning, reasoning, memory management, and tool usage.
Establish reference architectures for enterprise-grade AI applications that are cloud-native, scalable, and secure.
Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems, including data platforms, ERP, CRM, APIs, and event-driven systems.

What you need to have to be considered
Deep expertise in AI/ML and GenAI, including LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and multi-agent architectures and agent frameworks.
Strong programming skills in Python (primary) with hands-on experience across AI libraries.
Experience architecting on cloud platforms, with Azure preferred (including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio, and Databricks), as well as AWS or GCP.
Experience with modern data and platform ecosystems (Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse), REST APIs, microservices, and event streaming (Kafka, Event Hub).
Strong DevOps and MLOps capabilities, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, logging, and experiment tracking.
These will help you stand out
Familiarity with Java, Scala, or Node.js in addition to Python.
Experience delivering AI solutions within regulated or enterprise insurance environments.
Experience partnering directly with client stakeholders to shape and advance technical direction.

Salary and Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until October 15th, 2026
The annual salary for this position is between $108,000 - $180,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
