Job Summary
Serve as an infrastructure architect with deep expertise in Github based DevOps and automation designing secure scalable solutions that streamline hybrid cloud delivery. Apply over a decade of experience to create robust CI CD workflows using Github Actions optimize enterprise reporting integrations and ensure resilient infrastructure that supports business growth and reliable day operations across a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize enterprise infrastructure architectures that leverage Github based DevOps practices to deliver resilient scalable platforms supporting critical business applications in a hybrid work environment.
- Configure and refine Github repositories and branching strategies to ensure reliable version control workflows that align with enterprise governance and enable efficient collaboration among distributed engineering teams.
- Implement and maintain CI CD pipelines using Github Actions to automate build test and deployment processes enabling faster release cycles and consistent quality for infrastructure and application components.
- Coordinate infrastructure changes with application teams to ensure that Github based automation and deployment workflows integrate seamlessly with existing environments and minimize disruption to day operations.
- Develop standardized templates and reusable workflows in Github Actions that streamline infrastructure provisioning configuration management and environment promotion across development staging and production.
- Monitor performance reliability and cost efficiency of designed infrastructure solutions and use insights from logs and reports to propose improvements that enhance stability and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to embed secure coding branching and deployment practices in Github workflows ensuring that infrastructure automation adheres to organizational risk and regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance to project and operations teams on using Github and related DevOps tools effectively so that infrastructure changes are traceable auditable and aligned with defined architecture blueprints.
- Document end to end infrastructure designs CI CD flows and Github usage guidelines in clear technical narratives that support knowledge sharing onboarding and consistent implementation across global teams.
- Coordinate regular reporting on infrastructure health deployment success rates and pipeline performance using structured metrics so that stakeholders can make informed decisions on future improvements.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand capacity performance and reliability needs and translate these requirements into practical infrastructure designs that utilize Github driven automation for predictable delivery.
- Evaluate new capabilities within Github and Github Actions and recommend their adoption where they can simplify infrastructure operations reduce manual tasks and improve overall system resilience.
- Support incident and problem management activities by analyzing pipeline failures and infrastructure issues rooted in Github workflows and by proposing corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
- Possess extensive experience in designing and implementing infrastructure architectures backed by Github centered DevOps practices with a strong focus on CI CD automation and environment consistency.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in configuring and managing Github repositories branches and permissions to support secure efficient collaboration for medium to large technology teams.
- Apply in depth expertise with Github Actions to build modular workflows that integrate testing validation and deployment tasks for infrastructure and application components in hybrid environments.
- Bring practical exposure to regular reporting domains using infrastructure and pipeline data to create transparent views of system health and delivery performance that guide operational decisions.
- Show strong capability in working within hybrid work models using remote collaboration and documentation practices that keep architecture designs and Github standards consistent across locations.
- Utilize solid understanding of infrastructure reliability scalability and security principles to ensure that solutions created with Github based automation meet enterprise expectations and industry best practices.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include Certified DevOps Engineer and Github Administration or equivalent automation focused credentials.

The annual salary for this position is between $95,000- $110,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
