Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer with a good working knowledge of MongoDB administration, MongoDB design and development practices, and MongoDB operations. You will support new initiatives onboarding to MongoDB, assist teams through solution development and testing, and provide practical troubleshooting support for production issues. Prior experience with MongoDB Atlas is preferred but not essential, and prior experience supporting MongoDB developers is highly regarded.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administration, operational support and basic troubleshooting for MongoDB platforms and services.
- Support new initiatives onboarding to MongoDB, including guidance during solution design, development, testing and production readiness.
- Work with delivery teams to resolve MongoDB-related issues, improve usage patterns and support reliable database outcomes.
- Provide hands-on support to MongoDB developers, helping teams adopt effective patterns for schema design, query performance, data modelling and operational support.
- Support database administration activities including bulk data loading, data migration, backup, recovery and operational readiness.
Skills and experience:
- Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting MongoDB environments.
- Good working knowledge of MongoDB administration, design and development practices, and operations.
- Experience supporting MongoDB developers through onboarding, solution development, testing and production issue resolution.
- Prior experience with MongoDB Atlas is preferred but not essential.
- Working knowledge of database administration activities including bulk data loading and data migration.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide practical guidance to delivery teams.
