Job Summary:
We are leading global provider of IT solutions, clinical operation and digital manufacturing tailored for the life science industry, dedicated to empowering pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies with compliant, efficient, and innovative technology support. As we expand our market presence, we are seeking a results-driven account manager to foster long term client relations, drive business growth, and deliver exceptional value to our clients in the life science sector.
The CRM will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of life science clients, understanding their unique IT and compliance needs, and delivering customized solutions that align with their business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of both IT and LS industry landscape, with a focus on driving revenue growth, ensuring client satisfaction, and building strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer relationship management
• Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., CIOs, IT Directors, R&D business Managers, Quality Assurance Heads) within assigned life sciences clients (pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO/CDMO, medical device).
• Conduct regular client business reviews, proactively identify pain points, and provide strategic advice on IT solutions to support their research, development, production, quality control, and regulatory compliance goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, issue resolution, and service escalations, ensuring timely and effective communication to maintain high client satisfaction and retention rates.
2. Business Development & Revenue Growth
• Identify new business opportunities within existing client accounts (cross-selling/upselling) and new logo clients and develop strategies to expand market share in the life sciences sector.
• Conduct market research to track industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging IT needs in the life sciences space (e.g., digital transformation, data analytics, compliance systems, cloud solutions).
• Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets, including drafting proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals in collaboration with technical and product teams.
3. Solution Alignment & Technical Collaboration
• Collaborate with internal technical teams (solution architects, product managers, implementation consultants) to design and present IT solutions that address clients’ specific requirements
• Translate client business needs into technical requirements, ensuring seamless alignment between client expectations and solution capabilities.
• Provide product and solution expertise to clients during the sales cycle, including conducting capability, offering, and business understanding presentations, and feasibility assessments.
4. Project & Contract Management
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing, including coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of proposals and project scopes.
• Monitor client contract renewals, identify renewal risks, and develop retention strategies to maximize contract extension rates.
• Collaborate with project management and delivery teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions, providing ongoing support to clients post-implementation.
5. Industry & Compliance Expertise
Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to build brand awareness, generate leads, and enhance industry knowledge.
Job Requirements:
Essential Skills:
◦ Minimum 3 years of account management or solution sales experience in enterprise IT services, with a proven track record in the life sciences industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO/CDMO, medical device).
◦ Demonstrated experience in selling complex IT solutions (e.g., LIMS, data management systems, cloud services, compliance software) to enterprise clients.
◦ Senior-level candidates (5+ years of experience) with a history of managing large-scale client accounts and achieving significant revenue growth are preferred.
◦ Existing client resources in the life sciences sector is a strong advantage.
Core Competencies:
- Deep understanding of life sciences business processes (R&D, manufacturing, quality control, regulatory submission) and corresponding IT needs.
- AI driven industry solution sales experience
- Excellent client relationship management, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to identify revenue opportunities and develop strategic sales plans.
- Proven experience to manage multiple client accounts and sales cycles simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (technical, product, delivery) to deliver client-centric solutions.
Language:
- Fluent in written and spoken English (must be able to work with global clients and internal teams).
Nice to have:
- R&D and Manufacturing experience is preferred
