We are seeking a skilled UAT Test Lead with deep expertise in banking and financial services to lead and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for complex banking products and regulatory initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, hands-on testing experience, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in a hybrid delivery environment.
In this role, you will
• Lead and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for banking products, including cards and regulatory initiatives.
• Develops UAT solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
• Performs user acceptance testing for projects of various complexities, including but not limited to developing & managing the test strategy, creating & reviewing test cases to ensure traceability, executing test cases, escalating issues, logging outcomes, facilitating/participating in defect meetings, reviewing & validating defect resolutions and developing the exit report.
• Identify, track, and manage defects through resolution.
• Conduct manual testing to validate functionality, performance, and reliability of web applications.
• Collaborates with internal & external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, develop and implementation of UAT solutions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to testing teams, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices to maintain consistency and quality across projects.
• Support automation initiatives where applicable and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
Required skills
• 8+ years of testing experience in the Financial Services / Banking industry preferably in the online banking domain.
• 6+ years of hands-on UAT leadership experience within banking environments.
• Strong expertise in User Acceptance Testing for banking products, including cards and regulatory projects.
• Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
• Experience as a Quality Engineer (Full Stack) covering end-to-end testing.
Preferred skills
• Experience in online banking domain is preferred.

Total compensation:
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 80,000 – 90,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
Working arrangements
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, province.
