Your Role
As a Frontend Software Engineer at Cognizant, you will work on modern digital products across frontend, backend, and mobile platforms. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team, contributing not only through code but also through technical decision-making and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement high-quality solutions across frontend, backend, and mobile projects
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to automated testing
• Participate in and influence technical and architectural decisions within the engineering team
• Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and partners
• Stay up to date with technology trends and actively participate in IT events such as hackathons, conferences, forums, and meetups
• Work in a hybrid setup in the Amsterdam office
Skills & Experience Required
• Strong expertise in at least one domain (frontend, backend, or mobile), with the willingness to work across multiple areas
• Strong product mindset, with a clear focus on delivery, execution, and business value
• Excellent coding skills in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Solid knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with ReactJS frameworks and Node.js backends
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Good understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles
• Experience integrating with REST APIs and cloud services
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, or OpenShift
• Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Fluent in English
