Job Title - CyberSecurity Architect IAM with Java Full Stack
Location - 3 days a week from Houston, TX

This role is for a CyberSecurity Architect IAM with deep technical expertise in Java fullstack development, focusing on enterprise grade platforms for an MNC. The architect will ensure secure user lifecycle management, robust access controls, and compliance aligned with business objectives within an office based day shift environment.
Responsibilities
- -Design comprehensive IAM architectures that leverage Oracle Identity Manager and Java components to provide secure and scalable identity lifecycle management solutions for complex enterprise environments -Develop robust provisioning and deprovisioning workflows using Oracle Identity Manager and Java based customizations to ensure timely and accurate account management across all critical applications -Implement advanced access governance controls by defining role models, approval workflows, and policy based access mechanisms that reduce access risk and improve regulatory compliance -Configure and optimize connectors between Oracle Identity Manager and target systems to ensure reliable synchronization of identity data and access entitlements throughout the organization -Create detailed technical design documents, solution blueprints, and configuration standards that guide consistent IAM implementation and support future enhancements across business units -Perform security assessments of existing identity platforms by analyzing configuration gaps, policy weaknesses, and integration issues, and propose remediation strategies that strengthen overall security posture -Collaborate with application owners and infrastructure teams to integrate enterprise applications with the IAM platform using secure patterns, standardized APIs, and reusable Java based components -Develop reusable Java utilities and extensions that enhance Oracle Identity Manager capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and support custom business logic requirements -Define and enforce IAM related coding standards, configuration baselines, and deployment practices that align with organizational security policies and industry guidelines -Troubleshoot complex production issues within the IAM ecosystem by conducting root cause analysis, reviewing logs, and implementing durable fixes that reduce recurring incidents -Conduct performance tuning of Oracle Identity Manager environments by optimizing configurations, workflows, and Java code to achieve stable and responsive IAM operations -Partner with risk and compliance teams to map IAM controls to regulatory requirements and produce evidence for audits, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external standards -Guide and support operations teams by preparing runbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge articles that promote consistent and reliable IAM platform management -Provide structured training sessions and technical coaching to project teams and stakeholders on IAM concepts, Oracle Identity Manager capabilities, and secure integration patterns -Drive continuous improvement initiatives across IAM processes by analyzing operational metrics, user feedback, and incident trends, then proposing enhancements that increase effectiveness and user satisfaction.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $120-134K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
