About the role
As a QA Engineer - Strong SQL and Financial/Derivatives Domain Experience, you will make an impact by ensuring high-quality testing of complex financial systems, including derivatives and multi-asset instruments. You will be a valued member of the delivery team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, product owners, business analysts, and development teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

In this role, you will:
• Translate business requirements into structured BDD test scenarios using Cucumber and related frameworks
• Perform end-to-end functional testing, ensuring adherence to STLC processes and high-quality reporting
• Validate financial models and instruments, including derivatives and complex asset classes, in collaboration with business analysts
• Execute SQL queries for backend data validation, reconciliation, and financial transaction verification
• Work with automation frameworks by executing, analyzing, and modifying Selenium/Java-based test scripts

What you need to have to be considered
• Strong understanding of functional testing, STLC processes, and test reporting
• Solid foundation in mathematics with the ability to understand derivatives, financial instruments, and quantitative models
• Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
• Basic automation experience with Selenium and ability to interpret Java code for validation and troubleshooting
• Strong SQL skills with experience in queries, joins, and data validation

• Experience working in capital markets or financial services domain
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical teams
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines
• Experience validating complex financial transactions and reconciliation processes
• Adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project environments

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until June 01, 2026
The annual salary for this position is between $71,100– $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
