Job summary
Serve as a GeoSpatial Senior Analyst focused on validating complex map and location based solutions through a blend of manual and automated testing within a hybrid work model. Apply expertise in functional and regression testing automation frameworks and continuous integration and delivery practices to ensure accurate reliable and scalable geospatial products that improve navigation planning and data driven decision making for customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive manual and automated test strategies for geospatial map applications that validate data accuracy performance usability and end to end workflows across multiple devices and platforms
- Develop detailed functional and regression test cases for map data layers routing logic geocoding services and spatial search features to ensure consistent and predictable product behavior
- Implement robust automated test suites using approved frameworks so that critical map functionalities including tile rendering and point of interest data are validated in a repeatable and scalable manner
- Execute manual exploratory tests on new and existing geospatial features to uncover edge cases data anomalies and user experience defects before production releases
- Configure maintain and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines that automatically build test and report on geospatial services and user interfaces
- Monitor automated test results in the continuous integration environment and quickly triage failures by analyzing logs test artifacts and relevant application metrics to identify root causes
- Collaborate closely with product owners geospatial engineers data scientists and user experience specialists to clarify requirements refine acceptance criteria and provide testability feedback for map features
- Create and maintain high quality test documentation that includes test plans test case repositories traceability matrices and defect reports tailored to geospatial solution needs
- Perform data validation on geospatial data sources including coordinate systems map tiles and attribute data to ensure that ingestion and transformation processes preserve quality and consistency
- Use analytics and defect trends to prioritize regression suites refine test coverage and recommend improvements that reduce risk and accelerate delivery of map enhancements
- Coordinate with automation engineers and platform teams to enhance test frameworks improve execution stability and integrate new tools that raise quality standards for geospatial services
- Participate in release readiness activities by summarizing test outcomes known issues and risk assessments so that stakeholders can make informed decisions about production deployments
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the testing practice by proposing process changes reusable test assets and quality metrics that directly support the growth of the geospatial product portfolio
Qualifications
- Apply a strong background in software quality engineering with six to ten years of experience focused on functional testing regression testing and automation for complex applications
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in designing and executing Auto Functional and Regression Test scenarios for data rich or geospatial or map related solutions
- Use proven experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery environments to design test stages configure automated triggers and interpret build and test reports effectively
- Bring hands on manual testing expertise that includes test case design boundary analysis exploratory testing defect reporting and validation of user centered requirements
- Leverage practical experience in automation to build maintain and optimize reusable test scripts that can be integrated into shared pipelines and executed across environments
- Apply working knowledge of hybrid work models by collaborating effectively across distributed teams using digital tools clear documentation and regular communication practices
- Showcase familiarity with geospatial or mapping concepts such as coordinates layers tiles and routing logic or demonstrate strong motivation to quickly upskill in these areas to support project success
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem solving abilities with a disciplined approach to investigating defects validating hypotheses and confirming fixes across multiple test cycles
- Communicate clearly and respectfully in written and spoken form so that findings risks and recommendations are easily understood by technical and nontechnical stakeholders in a global organization
