● Implement and manage IAM roles/policies, service accounts, Cloud Identity, Cloud KMS, Secret Manager, and VPC Service Controls.
● Design and operate networking — Shared VPC, VPC peering, Cloud VPN/Interconnect, Cloud Router, Cloud NAT, Cloud DNS, and Private Service Connect — within platform service limits.
● Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability using the Cloud Operations suite; drive reliability improvements.
● Lead operational activities — patching strategy, backup/DR, capacity planning, cost optimization (FinOps), and resource governance.
● Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, connectivity, and security issues; perform root-cause analysis.
● Manage GCP quotas and limits, raising increase requests and designing scalable, limit-aware architectures.
● Mentor junior engineers, review IaaC and designs, and contribute to standards and runbooks.
● Collaborate with architecture, security, networking, and application teams on solution delivery.

● Solid scripting skills (Python, gcloud CLI; Bash a plus).
● Strong networking knowledge — TCP/IP, DNS, routing, BGP basics, hybrid connectivity (Cloud VPN/Interconnect), and segmentation.
● Working knowledge of GCP governance — resource hierarchy, Organization Policies, Cloud Asset Inventory, labels, and security baselines.
● Understanding of GCP quotas/limits and capacity/cost planning.
● Experience with monitoring, DR/backup, and operational best practices.
These will help you succeed
● Exposure to landing zone implementation, multi-project governance, or security foundations blueprint.
● Familiarity with containers (GKE), and secondary exposure to Azure or AWS.
● Awareness of egress control / SASE tooling (e.g., Zscaler) and zero-trust networking.
