Vendor Management Domain Knowledge Requisite:
· Support client personnel in adhering to the client firm’s Internal Audit–mandated Vendor Management Policy and Vendor Management Target Operating Model.
· Promote vendor compliance with required standards through structured Vendor Management processes.
· Support the maintenance of a centralized global vendor inventory and consistent vendor management processes.
· Perform Vendor Record Review and Enrichment, including reviewing vendor data, identifying missing or inconsistent information, and ensuring complete and accurate vendor records.
· Support Vendor Performance Assessment activities by helping assess vendor performance against expected requirements and standards.
· Support Vendor Regulatory Reporting by assisting with vendor-related regulatory requests, gathering information, validating data, and coordinating responses.
· Perform Contract Record Review and Enrichment, including reviewing contract data and ensuring complete and accurate contract inventory records.
· Support Contract Compliance Assessment by helping determine whether expected contract compliance requirements are being met.
· Support Contract Regulatory Reporting by assisting with vendor contract-related regulatory requests.
· Assist with internal reporting by supporting reporting that highlights key activities, trends, issues, and developments across the vendor supply chain landscape.
· Support Vendor and Contract Lifecycle Management by contributing to continuous improvement of the end-to-end Vendor Management process.
· Work as an extension of the existing Cognizant consultant team supporting Procurement Operations and Vendor Management activities.
· Support current tactical Vendor Management process execution using manual process documentation and current systems, while assisting transition activities toward strategic Vendor Management processes using further automation.
· Actively participate in the testing of forthcoming enhanced / strategic platforms used in support of Vendor Management processes, including workflow validation, data review, reporting output checks, user acceptance testing support, issue identification, and providing feedback to process / technology teams.
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendor relationship owners, contract owners, vendors, oversight and control functions,, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology, and other relevant teams to clarify requirements, obtain information, resolve discrepancies, and support timely process completion.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline
Work Experience and Skills Requisite:
- 8+ years of experience in Vendor Management, Procurement Operations, Contract Management, Supplier Management, Third-Party Risk, and/or similar operational roles.
· Experience reviewing and maintaining vendor, contract, or supplier data.
· Good understanding of vendor lifecycle, contract lifecycle, compliance checks, reporting, and issue tracking.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing data, inconsistencies, and process gaps.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
· Experience working with GEP and ServiceNow would be an advantage.
· Ability to use AI tools responsibly to support drafting, summarization, reporting, data review, documentation, and process improvement, in line with confidentiality and information security requirements.
· Experience supporting system / platform testing, UAT, test evidence captures, and defect tracking.
· Strong communication, coordination, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
