Job Summary
Serve as a senior developer within a hybrid work model designing and implementing robust data solutions using Snowflake Snowpark Azure Functions Azure Data Factory and Python. Collaborate with cross functional teams to build secure scalable and efficient data pipelines that enable reliable analytics improve business decision making and support the company mission to deliver impactful digital products for global clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Snowpark based data processing solutions that efficiently transform and enrich large volumes of structured and semi structured data for analytics consumption
- Develop and optimize Snowflake SQL queries stored procedures and tasks that ensure consistent data quality reliability and performance for critical business workloads
- Build and maintain Snowflake streams and Snowpipe configurations that enable near real time data ingestion and change data capture with minimal operational overhead
- Create and enhance Azure Data Factory pipelines that orchestrate complex data movement and transformation workflows across Snowflake Azure storage and other enterprise systems
- Develop Azure Functions using Python and other supported languages that provide event driven data processing automation and integration capabilities for various business applications
- Implement robust monitoring logging and alerting within Azure DevOps and related tools to proactively identify performance bottlenecks data issues and platform incidents
- Apply secure coding practices data masking techniques and access control policies across Snowflake Azure services and Python components to protect sensitive information and comply with enterprise standards
- Collaborate with data architects analysts and product stakeholders to translate functional requirements into detailed technical designs that align with overall data platform strategy
- Optimize data models warehouse schemas and pipeline configurations to reduce cost improve query responsiveness and enhance scalability for high volume analytical workloads
- Conduct thorough code reviews unit testing and integration testing to ensure high code quality maintainability and adherence to established development guidelines
- Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation for Snowflake objects pipelines functions and configuration settings to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in hybrid environments by analyzing logs query plans and pipeline executions to restore service and prevent recurrence
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new Snowflake and Azure features recommending enhancements and implementing proof of concepts that advance the company data capabilities
Qualifications
- Possess professional experience of six to ten years in data engineering or senior development roles with a strong focus on cloud based data platforms and enterprise scale solutions
- Demonstrate hands on proficiency with Snowpark including development of reusable data processing components and performance tuning in large datasets
- Exhibit advanced skills in Snowflake SQL tasks streams and Snowpipe with proven ability to design resilient ingestion and transformation workflows
- Show solid experience in Azure Data Factory design scheduling parameterization and integration with diverse data sources within an enterprise ecosystem
- Display strong capability in building Azure Functions and other Azure services that complement data pipelines automation routines and custom integrations
- Hold practical expertise in Python programming for data processing scripting automation and integration with Snowflake and Azure services
- Utilize Azure DevOps for source control continuous integration and continuous deployment practices that ensure consistent and reliable software delivery
- Communicate effectively with cross functional teams document solutions clearly and mentor peers on best practices in cloud data engineering and application development
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include Azure Data Engineer Associate and SnowPro Core or equivalent cloud data engineering credentials
