Job Summary
This hybrid role is for a senior Salesforce CPQ developer with ten to twelve years of experience delivering complex enterprise solutions for a global organization. The role focuses on designing configuring and optimizing Salesforce CPQ to support scalable quoting pricing and product configuration processes while collaborating with cross functional teams and applying analytics domain knowledge where relevant.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced Salesforce CPQ configurations that support complex pricing rules product bundles discounting policies and approval workflows to improve quoting accuracy and speed
- Develop robust customizations using Salesforce declarative capabilities and controlled programmatic extensions to ensure scalable and maintainable CPQ solutions aligned with enterprise standards
- Configure product catalogs pricing structures and attribute driven configurations within Salesforce CPQ to support evolving business offerings across multiple markets and channels
- Optimize quote to cash processes by refining CPQ templates document generation logic and automated workflows to reduce cycle times and enhance stakeholder satisfaction
- Coordinate with business analysts process owners and technical teams to translate detailed functional requirements into Salesforce CPQ designs that address critical business outcomes
- Perform detailed impact analysis on proposed CPQ changes assessing effects on upstream and downstream systems to maintain data integrity and consistent user experiences
- Conduct unit testing system testing and support user acceptance testing for Salesforce CPQ releases ensuring high quality deliverables and stable production deployments
- Create and maintain technical documentation including configuration designs data models and release notes to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity
- Mentor team members on Salesforce CPQ best practices coding standards and configuration patterns to raise overall implementation quality and reduce technical debt
- Analyze usage metrics quote performance and error trends to identify opportunities to fine tune Salesforce CPQ behavior and improve operational efficiency
- Integrate Salesforce CPQ with other Salesforce clouds and external systems using secure and scalable patterns that support reliable data synchronization and transaction flows
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define nonfunctional requirements such as performance scalability and security for CPQ capabilities to meet enterprise expectations
- Apply analytics domain understanding where applicable to design structured data capture within Salesforce CPQ that supports downstream reporting forecasting and insight generation
Qualifications
- Possess ten to twelve years of overall experience with substantial focus on Salesforce platform development and at least five years of hands on Salesforce CPQ implementation experience
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Salesforce configuration including objects fields validation rules flows approval processes and advanced automation tailored to CPQ scenarios
- Exhibit solid experience in designing complex product structures pricing strategies discount schedules and contract terms within Salesforce CPQ for enterprise scale environments
- Show capability to write clean and maintainable Apex classes triggers and Lightning components only when necessary to extend Salesforce CPQ functionality in a controlled manner
- Display familiarity with analytics or business intelligence concepts enabling collaboration with data teams to ensure CPQ data supports meaningful reporting and performance insights
- Understand software development life cycle practices including version control continuous integration testing strategies and release management within Salesforce ecosystems
- Communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical partners explaining CPQ designs constraints and tradeoffs in clear and inclusive language that supports shared understanding
- Adopt a continuous learning mindset by keeping current with Salesforce releases CPQ enhancements and related ecosystem tools to propose incremental improvements to the solution
