Job Summary
Test Director role in a global organization responsible for orchestrating enterprise grade testing strategies for complex applications Postman SoapUI QA Automation Tools (Katalon)and services AWS(1CP) . The role focuses on planning and governing functional and integration validation using tools such as Postman and SoapUI within a hybrid work model. The Test Director collaborates with cross functional teams to improve quality outcomes and customer trust especially for airline related solution
Responsibilities
Domain Experience-Hotel (HCO)
- Drive end to end test strategy definition for large scale application ecosystems ensuring robust coverage of functional integration and regression scenarios that align with business goals and quality benchmarks.
- Coordinate cross functional test planning activities by partnering with product managers architects and engineering teams to translate requirements into comprehensive test approaches and measurable outcomes.
- Direct the design and maintenance of detailed test plans and reusable test cases leveraging Postman and SoapUI to validate application programming interfaces and critical service interactions.
- Guide the establishment of standardized processes for API testing including request collections environment configurations and response validations to ensure consistency across multiple product teams.
- Oversee creation of data driven test scenarios and boundary condition validations to uncover defects that may impact stability performance and user experience in production environments.
- Manage defect lifecycle processes from triage through resolution ensuring clear documentation of root causes and prioritization of remediation activities based on customer and business impact.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate automated test suites built in Postman and SoapUI into continuous integration workflows to enable frequent and reliable releases.
- Monitor key quality metrics such as defect density escape rates and test execution trends to identify systemic issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives across programs.
- Coordinate validation activities for complex integrations with airline reservation and operations platforms when applicable ensuring that test scenarios reflect realistic passenger and operational flows.
- Provide direction for nonfunctional testing in coordination with specialized teams ensuring that performance reliability and security considerations are incorporated into overall test scope.
- Mentor senior test professionals by sharing advanced practices in API validation test design optimization and results interpretation to raise the overall maturity of testing capabilities.
- Communicate concise status updates quality risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders enabling informed decisions on release readiness and prioritization of corrective actions.
- Align day to day testing operations with hybrid work expectations by ensuring effective use of collaboration tools structured ceremonies and clear documentation for distributed team members.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate extensive experience using Postman to design execute and automate complex API test collections including environment management variable usage and response verification.
- Apply advanced proficiency in SoapUI to validate SOAP and REST services through detailed assertions data driven requests and comprehensive functional coverage of service contracts.
- Bring deep exposure to large scale testing programs gained over fourteen to seventeen years in quality assurance and test management with responsibility for enterprise applications.
- Utilize familiarity with airline industry processes such as booking flows ticketing rules and operational messaging as a strong advantage for designing realistic and high value scenarios.
- Show strong capability in defect analysis root cause identification and effective communication with engineering teams to support rapid remediation and knowledge sharing.
- Exhibit clear written and verbal communication skills to prepare structured reports test summaries and risk assessments that are understandable to technical and non technical stakeholders.
