About the role
We are seeking an experienced Azure DevSecOps Engineer with 7+ years of experience to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation frameworks on Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will partner closely with development, QA, security, and operations teams to accelerate software delivery, improve platform reliability, and ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards
In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines on Microsoft Azure.
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes across multiple application environments.
- Manage Git repositories, branching strategies, and version control best practices.
- Orchestrate metadata and data deployments while ensuring release quality and reliability.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as ARM Templates and Terraform.
- Integrate pipelines with security, code quality, monitoring, and compliance tools.
- Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline software delivery.
- Troubleshoot deployment and pipeline issues and optimize performance across environments.
- Ensure adherence to DevSecOps standards, governance controls, and audit requirements.
- Document processes and provide knowledge sharing and technical guidance to team members.

What you need to have to be considered:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Cloud Engineering roles.
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure environments.
- Hands-on experience with Git version control systems and branching strategies.
- Experience orchestrating application, metadata, and data deployments across environments.
- Strong proficiency in YAML scripting for pipeline configuration and automation.
- Experience with Azure cloud services and Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM Templates and Terraform.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience implementing security controls, governance requirements, and compliance standards within DevOps processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
These will help you stand out:
- Azure certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Experience implementing advanced DevSecOps practices including vulnerability management and automated security scanning.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools within cloud-native environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with AI-powered development and operations tools to improve productivity and delivery quality.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries with strict compliance and audit requirements.

Salary and compensation:
The annual salary for this position will be between $120,000 to $163,000 per year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
