Job summary
The Architect role requires twelve to fifteen years of experience designing and delivering scalable cloud solutions using AWS in a hybrid work environment. The candidate will design secure and resilient architectures mentor technical peers and ensure that cloud platforms meet business outcomes regulatory expectations and operational excellence goals for a large global organization.
Responsibilities
- Design robust AWS architectures that align with enterprise standards and support highly available and scalable applications for complex business domains
- Develop end to end cloud solutions that integrate compute storage network and security services to meet functional and non functional requirements for critical platforms
- Coordinate with product owners and engineering teams to translate business objectives into detailed AWS solution designs that can be implemented efficiently
- Define reference architectures and cloud design patterns that promote reuse consistency and operational efficiency across multiple programs and application portfolios
- Review solution proposals from project teams and provide clear architectural guidance to optimize performance cost security and long term maintainability
- Create detailed architecture documents diagrams and technical narratives that clearly describe how AWS services will be orchestrated and governed in production environments
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to embed strong identity access management encryption and monitoring practices into all AWS designs and implementations
- Guide development and operations teams on best practices for AWS deployment automation observability and incident resilience using modern cloud tooling and workflows
- Conduct architecture assessments and cloud readiness reviews to identify risks dependencies and optimization opportunities in existing or planned AWS workloads
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing system performance metrics and recommending architectural enhancements that improve reliability scalability and cost efficiency
- Engage with stakeholders across technology and business functions to explain architecture decisions tradeoffs and benefits in clear and accessible language
- Mentor colleagues by sharing cloud architecture knowledge patterns and lessons learned to raise overall technical maturity within the organization
- Align architecture roadmaps with organizational strategy ensuring that AWS adoption supports long term innovation sustainability and positive societal impact through efficient digital services
Qualifications
- possess a bachelors degree or higher in computer science information technology engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution
- bring twelve to fifteen years of progressive experience in solution design and architecture with a significant focus on AWS based systems for enterprise scale environments
- demonstrate deep hands on expertise with core AWS services including compute storage databases networking identity and security components used in production systems
- show practical experience with infrastructure as code tools such as cloudformation terraform or similar technologies to automate repeatable and reliable AWS deployments
- exhibit strong understanding of cloud security principles including network segmentation encryption key management and secure configuration practices within AWS
- display proven ability to design resilient disaster recovery ready solutions leveraging multiple availability zones backup strategies and recovery automation in AWS
- apply solid knowledge of modern application architectures including microservices containerization and api driven design as implemented on AWS platforms
- articulate experience working in hybrid work models collaborating effectively through digital tools while maintaining strong communication with distributed teams and stakeholders
- illustrate familiarity with devops practices continuous integration continuous delivery and observability concepts that support stable and maintainable cloud solutions
- demonstrate clear communication and documentation skills to present architecture options risks and recommendations to technical and non technical audiences in concise terms
- show experience in guiding teams through cloud migration initiatives including assessment planning execution and post migration optimization in AWS environments
- express commitment to ongoing learning by staying current with AWS service innovations architectural patterns and industry best practices that enhance organizational value
