Job Summary
This hybrid role seeks a seasoned DevOps Engineer with six to ten years of experience to design automate and optimize data pipelines and cloud environments using Airflow Python and Snowflake. The role focuses on secure reliable delivery of data and applications that enable content and knowledge management solutions supporting day shift operations with no travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain robust CI and CD pipelines that automate deployment of Airflow workflows Python services and Snowflake objects to ensure consistent and reliable delivery across hybrid environments.
- Implement and optimize Airflow orchestration for complex data pipelines so that scheduled and event driven tasks run efficiently with clear observability logging and alerting for rapid incident response.
- Build and refine Python based tools and microservices that support data ingestion transformation and operational automation ensuring code quality modular design and maintainable repositories.
- Configure and administer Snowflake environments to manage warehouses databases and schemas with efficient resource utilization and secure data access aligned to organizational governance policies.
- Develop infrastructure as code solutions that provision and update cloud and on premise resources in a repeatable manner improving environment consistency and reducing manual configuration effort.
- Monitor system health across orchestration compute storage and data layers using metrics and logs to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and capacity issues driving timely remediation actions.
- Collaborate with data engineering analytics and application teams to translate solution requirements into operational runbooks and deployment patterns that support content and knowledge management use cases.
- Apply secure configuration practices across pipelines secrets management and data platforms to reduce operational risk and safeguard sensitive information used in knowledge centric applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues in day shift operations by analyzing pipeline failures resource constraints and configuration defects restoring service quickly and documenting sustainable fixes.
- Optimize cost and performance of hybrid infrastructure by tuning job schedules warehouse sizes and resource allocation policies ensuring that data workloads remain responsive and financially efficient.
- Provide clear technical documentation for deployment procedures environment configurations and support workflows so that teams can understand operational dependencies and follow standardized practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging DevOps tooling workflow enhancements and automation opportunities that streamline delivery of content and knowledge management solutions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that hybrid work arrangements change windows and release plans align with day shift operations while avoiding disruption to key business services.
Qualifications
- Bring strong hands on experience with Airflow configuration DAG design and pipeline optimization demonstrating the ability to orchestrate complex data workflows in production environments.
- Show advanced proficiency in Python development including packaging dependency management and testing practices that enable scalable and maintainable automation and data processing solutions.
- Offer practical experience administering Snowflake with a focus on resource monitoring role based access control and performance tuning that supports reliable analytics and reporting platforms.
- Demonstrate solid background in DevOps practices such as CI and CD infrastructure as code and environment automation that contribute to faster and more stable application and data deliveries.
- Contribute domain awareness in content and knowledge management by understanding how metadata taxonomy and search driven scenarios depend on well orchestrated data and application pipelines.
- Exhibit familiarity with hybrid work models and remote collaboration tooling that support effective communication documentation and coordinated releases across distributed teams.
- Display strong problem solving and analytical capabilities that enable quick diagnosis of pipeline infrastructure and data issues with a focus on creating durable resolutions that enhance system reliability.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include SnowPro Core for Snowflake Certified Kubernetes Administrator or similar DevOps focused credentials.
