Role: MSSQL Database Administrator
Location: Coppell, Texas
Mandatory skill: Microsoft SQL Server Administration, SQL Server Performance Tuning & Optimization, High Availability / Disaster Recovery (Always On, Clustering, Replication),Database Project Management & Delivery, Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Management
1. Serve as the primary onsite technical lead and single point of contact for all SQL Server database initiatives and operational activities.
3. Lead database migration, upgrade, modernization, and cloud adoption projects from planning through implementation.
4. Drive stakeholder communication, project status reporting, and issue resolution.
5. Oversee SQL Server performance, availability, security, backup/recovery, and High Availability/Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) environments.
6. Review technical designs, implementation plans, change requests, and operational procedures to ensure adherence to best practices.
7. Act as the escalation point for critical production incidents, driving root cause analysis and permanent resolution.
8. Identify automation and process improvement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
Compensation: We are offering between $90,000 – $115,000. Applications will be accepted until Oct 2, 2026.Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in US without requiring employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
