Job Summary
This role is for an experienced software engineer with deep expertise in react java fullstack and agile practices focused on building secure and scalable applications for medicare and medicaid claims processing in a hybrid day shift work model. The engineer will design develop and optimize claim workflows that improve healthcare access and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with complex regulatory requirements across enterprise platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust java fullstack services and react based user interfaces that streamline medicare and medicaid claim intake validation and adjudication workflows in alignment with business rules and regulatory expectations.
- Implement and optimize backend components including api layers data access logic and integration adapters that ensure accurate and high performing processing of claims data across multiple internal and external healthcare systems.
- Configure and refine react front end components to deliver intuitive claim status views error resolution workflows and reporting dashboards that improve usability for operations teams and reduce manual handling.
- Orchestrate end to end agile delivery activities including backlog refinement sprint planning daily standups and iterative demos to ensure that claim processing features are delivered predictably and aligned with stakeholder priorities.
- Apply deep knowledge of medicare and medicaid claim lifecycles to translate eligibility rules pricing logic coverage policies and compliance constraints into clear technical designs and testable acceptance criteria.
- Perform comprehensive unit integration and regression testing for all claim related services and interfaces to maintain data integrity prevent payment errors and safeguard sensitive member and provider information.
- Collaborate with product owners business analysts and claim operations specialists to analyze defects optimize rules and prioritize enhancements that reduce claim rework denials and processing cycle times.
- Monitor application performance and operational metrics for claim processing workloads identifying bottlenecks and implementing tuning measures that support high throughput low latency and stable day to day operations.
- Document key design decisions api contracts data mappings and deployment procedures in a clear and maintainable manner so teams can reliably operate and evolve the medicare and medicaid claim platforms over time.
- Coordinate with quality assurance and compliance stakeholders to ensure that changes to claim handling logic and workflows remain aligned with regulatory updates audit findings and enterprise risk controls.
- Support hybrid work practices through effective communication code reviews and collaboration tools so distributed team members can contribute consistently to shared claim solution goals.
- Participate in production incident analysis for claim systems by reviewing logs tracing data flows and implementing targeted fixes that restore service while preventing recurrence of similar issues.
- Contribute reusable components coding patterns and automation scripts that reduce duplication accelerate feature delivery and improve overall reliability of claim processing solutions across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bring extensive experience with react development and modern frontend ecosystems applying modular design state management and secure coding principles to build maintainable claim related user experiences.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in java fullstack development using common frameworks build tools and testing practices to create scalable services that integrate with healthcare claim platforms and external partners.
- Exhibit hands on practice in agile delivery methods including incremental planning continuous integration and collaborative ceremonies that ensure claim solutions evolve iteratively with stakeholder feedback.
