About Cognizant Consulting

Cognizant Consulting is Cognizant’s global consulting organization, dedicated to helping clients navigate complex business and technology transformations. We combine deep industry expertise, modern engineering practices, and AI-driven innovation to deliver measurable outcomes at enterprise scale. Our consultants partner closely with clients to translate strategy into execution while operating within rigorous governance, security, and delivery frameworks.

Role Overview

As an Integration Specialist – Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting the integration of Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities into large-scale enterprise platforms and operational workflows within the telecommunications domain. This role requires strong integration engineering expertise, familiarity with GenAI patterns, and the ability to operate effectively within highly regulated, complex delivery environments typical of Tier‑1 telecom programs.

You will contribute to Cognizant’s agentification strategy, supporting human‑in‑the‑loop AI agents that execute repeatable tasks while maintaining auditability, governance, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

GenAI Integration & Platform Engineering

  • Integrate GenAI capabilities into existing enterprise platforms and workflows, ensuring secure data access, latency performance, and full auditability.
  • Design and build connectors and orchestration flows across APIs, event‑driven architectures, and messaging systems.
  • Produce integration designs, implemented interfaces, and end‑to‑end validation artefacts aligned with production‑readiness standards.

Telecommunications Domain Enablement

  • Apply GenAI solutions to telecom use cases including agent assist, knowledge retrieval, incident triage, order management, billing enquiries, and operational workflow automation.
  • Ensure implementations align with governance, compliance, and data privacy requirements expected in regulated telecom environments.

Agentification & Human‑in‑the‑Loop AI

  • Collaborate with client and internal teams to identify high‑volume, repeatable tasks suitable for AI‑based agent execution.
  • Co‑design human‑in‑the‑loop agents using approved tools, workflows, and control mechanisms.
  • Support incremental delivery from pilot to scale with defined KPIs, auditability, and structured change management.
  • Enable the transition of routine tasks to agents, including:
    • Prompt and template management
    • Evaluation harness execution
    • Red‑teaming checklists
    • Retrieval content validation
    • Monitoring and reporting summaries
  • Retain human ownership over model decisions, architecture inputs, governance approvals, and safety/risk sign‑off.

Continuous Learning & Quality Engineering

  • Stay current with GenAI techniques such as retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), prompt and model tuning, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and AI governance models.
  • Execute disciplined experiments and measure quality, safety, and business impact to support continuous improvement.

Enterprise Delivery & Governance

  • Operate within large enterprise environments, aligning work to standard SDLC and ITSM practices, change controls, and security requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior delivery leads to ensure alignment across workstreams.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs, messaging systems, and orchestration frameworks.
  • Hands‑on exposure to GenAI implementations, including RAG patterns and evaluation approaches.
  • Experience working within telecommunications or similarly regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise delivery governance, including SDLC, ITSM, security, and change management.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consulting experience supporting Tier‑1 telecom providers or large enterprise clients.
  • Experience delivering human‑in‑the‑loop AI agents in production environments.
  • Familiarity with audit, compliance, and regulatory documentation for AI‑enabled platforms.
