Job Summary
Senior SDET role focused on building robust automation frameworks and quality practices for Medicare and Medicaid claims platforms using tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions Azure DevOps Postman RestAssured Playwright Insomnia Typescript and Selenium in a hybrid work model. The role ensures reliable secure and compliant delivery of claim processing capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web and api testing using tools such as Selenium Playwright Postman and RestAssured to improve overall product quality and stability
- Develop comprehensive automated regression suites for Medicare and Medicaid claims workflows to ensure accurate and timely claim adjudication and payment outcomes
- Create detailed test strategies and test plans that cover functional integration performance and regression aspects of claim processing systems for day to day project releases
- Implement continuous testing practices by integrating automated test suites into Jenkins based pipelines to provide rapid feedback and reduce defects reaching production
- Configure and optimize Jenkins jobs for parallel execution reporting and artifact management to shorten test cycles and support frequent deployments in a hybrid work environment
- Use GitHub effectively for version control code reviews and branching strategies to maintain clean automation codebases and enable efficient collaboration with engineering and product teams
- Design and execute api tests using Postman and RestAssured focusing on validation of claim intake pricing eligibility and explanation of benefits scenarios aligned to Medicare and Medicaid rules
- Create robust front end test scripts with Selenium and Playwright that validate user journeys for member provider and operations portals while maintaining high reliability and maintainability
- Analyze production defects and logs to identify root causes related to automation gaps data issues or configuration problems and propose practical improvements to prevent recurrences
- Collaborate closely with developers business analysts and domain experts to clarify requirements for claim submission adjudication appeals and compliance processes and translate them into test scenarios
- Define and maintain test data strategies for complex claim scenarios including coverage limits prior authorizations coordination of benefits and secondary claims ensuring realistic and reusable datasets
- Review automation metrics such as coverage flakiness and execution time to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance confidence in releases and optimize team productivity
- Mentor junior quality engineers in automation design domain understanding and coding standards to build a strong quality culture focused on healthcare consumer impact and regulatory compliance
- Partner with compliance and security stakeholders to ensure that test approaches support privacy regulations data masking and audit requirements across Medicare and Medicaid claim platforms
- Participate in refinement and planning sessions by providing effort estimates risk assessments and quality considerations that influence scope and timelines for day shift delivery
- Identify opportunities to reuse frameworks across projects and environments reducing duplication of effort and supporting consistent quality practices within the organization
Qualifications
- Bring extensive hands on experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks using Selenium Playwright Postman and RestAssured with a strong focus on modularity and maintainability
- Demonstrate deep expertise with Jenkins configuration pipeline scripting and test integration to support continuous integration and continuous delivery practices in a hybrid work setting
- Exhibit strong proficiency with GitHub including branching strategies pull request reviews and merge practices to maintain clean and reliable automation repositories
- Apply solid understanding of Medicare and Medicaid claim life cycles including enrollment eligibility coding adjudication denials and appeals to design meaningful test scenarios
- Use strong skills in api testing json analysis and response validation to verify complex integrations between claim engines payment systems and external services without relying on manual checks
- Leverage experience in object oriented programming and scripting languages to build reusable libraries utilities and helpers that simplify test script development and maintenance
- Communicate clearly with cross functional stakeholders summarizing automation results quality risks and suggested mitigations in a concise and actionable manner
- Draw on prior experience in large scale healthcare or insurance systems to handle performance considerations data volume and integration complexity in day to day automation work
